The Easter Brunch at Streetcar Charlie’s was fantastic as usual. Miss Daphne Ferraro was the host of the holiday show and Easter contests. Much to our surprise, Carrie was this year’s winner of the Easter Bonnet Contest. Later that afternoon word spread quickly thru GaYbor that Lady Kirt-trina was performing at Hamburger Mary’s! Also on stage was Esme Russell, Miss Summers, Ivan and would you believe… Big Momma Flow! All we can say is GaYbor = Fun! Viva la GaYbor!

Okie at Square One Creative Events

Square One invites everyone to their next event, Camille Leone, taking place on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at The RITZ Ybor. Once again, over 80 local artists will be on display with performances from 10th Concession, V.Y.B. Dance Company, Anye Cole, Ashley Wilson & J-Pop and fashion shows by Disco Dolls and Lauren Kroeger. Bella Danza (under the direction of Maria Capitano Pardo) will once again headline the stage shows. The stage shows are from 8 pm to 9 pm and 10 pm to 11 pm, so please make sure to arrive there early to avoid missing the 8 pm show. 10th Concession will be performing in the Royal Room all evening. The entire event will run from 7 pm to midnight, so please arrive early. The theme of Camille Leone revolves around individual creative expression and diversity. Camille Leone is the name of an imaginary woman who will come to life through the artistic expressions of participating artists and performers. It is a play on the word “chameleon” since this woman will have various identities. You are all encouraged to play along with the theme of disguising or enhancing your identity by wearing a mask, so YES… this event is a masked event. There is no enforced dress code, just a suggestion to all guests to incorporate the event’s theme colors into their attire. This event’s theme colors are red, gold and green, a nod to the Culture Club song, “Karma Chameleon.” Camille Leone is the 5th Square One Creative Event, which won the 2009 Best of the Bay Award for Best Freakin’ Awesome Events (Critics’ Pick).

There is an optional $2 donation at the door to attend the event. Reserved seats and VIP tables are available for $5 and $10 each and can be purchased at SquareOneFlorida.com/camille.html. If you have never been to a Square One event, now is the time! I look forward to seeing you all there!
