The Legendary Leslie Jordan Wowed Crowds at Bill’s

On Monday, August 22, Emmy- Award winner Leslie Jordan performed to a packed house at Bill’s on Wilton Drive. Jordan is best known as Brother Boy from “Sordid Lives” and as Beverley Leslie from “Will & Grace.” His show was titled “Beverley” in honor of that hilarious role.

Jordan, who calls himself “the gayest man I know,” entertained a packed house at Bill’s with stories of growing up gay, coming out as a gay man and about being cast as Beverley on the popular show. The big crowd couldn’t get enough of his bawdy and amusing stories.

“He was raunchy, but so much fun!” said Hotspots Webmaster Edy Garcia. “He really is a great storyteller.”

The hilarious actor, at only 4’11” is big on personality and had the Wilton Manors crowed cracking up for his hour and a half show. His star continues to rise – he has a role in the current movie hit “The Help.”

Many thanks to Bill’s owners Jackson Padgett and Mark Negrete for bringing us such a legend at such a phenomenal price – the show was free!

“Mark and I wanted to give something back to the community during this grueling heat and economic times which lead us to pursue an awesome comedian, and individual, Leslie Jordan for an event to lift all our spirits.” Jackson Padgett
