The Miss’d America Pageant takes place on Saturday, September 21, one week after Miss America — guess they “Miss’d” it.

The video series, created by Gwist, the YouTube channel by Logo network founder Matt Farber, features current Miss’d America contestants and former winners in a Barbara Walters-special-style mockumentary. Miss’d America, a live annual drag pageant and fundraiser founded in 1993 will take place at the House of Blues at the Showboat Casino Hotel in Atlantic City on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 8:00pm. Miss’d America is presented by the Greater Atlantic City GLBT Alliance and Schultz-Hill Scholarship Foundation in association with Caesars Entertainment. Miss’d America weekend kicks off on Friday night with a party at Pro Bar at the Resorts Casino Hotel, the world’s only permanent gay bar in a casino.

Miss’d America is a hilarious spoof of the world-famous Miss America Pageant as drag queens strut down the runway, belt out songs and fiercely compete to be named Miss’d America. Contestants competing for the Miss’d America title are judged in the categories of swimsuit, talent, evening gown and the judges’ interview. The current reigning Miss’d America, Sabel Scities (aka Timothy Byars), will crown the new winner.

For more information about the drag pageant, contestants and photos visit Miss’d America on Facebook. Purchase tickets at Ticketmaster.

To promote the live pageant, “Miss’d America: Behind the Tiara” features YouTube sensation Randy Rainbow (his actual name!), tongue firmly planted in cheek, conducting seriously hilarious interviews with each of these seven “ladies.” Each episode (YouTube.com/gwist) profiles one current Miss’d America contest or former winner. Mr. Rainbow profiles the following seven queens:

  • Mirkala Crystal
  • Honey Davenport
  • Alexia Love
  • Victoria Porkchop Parker
  • Ivy Profen
  • Chantel Reshae
  • Victoria Venom
