What’s Hot Central Florida 01/23-01/29
January shaped up to be so fun for me! First I got to see two RuPaul’s Drag Race queens at Hamburger Mary’s Clearwater. Then I got to see one of my favorite comedians, Loni Love, at the Tampa Improv. When she called out for her “sugar sticks” (what she calls her gay fans), I waved my hands and shouted pretty loud! I was upstaged by about six other gay people sitting in the back though. It’s okay, I’m not mad. 😉 Then finally I got to go out to Orlando for my first What’s Hot trip over there in over two months! I got to go to Hamburger Mary’s Orlando, Parliament House, and a couple of other places…but those are stories you’ll get to hear about in full next week! Don’t forget to send your favorite nightlife photos to email@example.com! Lots of love to you all!

Looking forward to Sawmill Resort’s Bare As You Dare events? The Dade City campground won’t disappoint you this week, with a special pool party this evening. The special guest this weekend, called “Underwear Weekend in the Woods,” is Andrew Christian model Topher DiMaggio!
Alexis de la Mer wants you to come on down to Ybor City Social Club for Gay College Night, which she hosts every week (come back on February 13 for her one-year anniversary!). On the agenda this evening is a drag show around 11:45 and a booty shake contest at 12:30. The winner gets a bar tab!
Are you a Heather or a Veronica? Whichever one you are, go to BarCodes Orlando and dress up in your raddest ’80s gear for their party “Heather Strikes Back,” starting at 8 p.m. Hot men, cool music, funny videos…apart from bringing Gary Coleman back from the dead, what else would you want from an ’80s re-creation?
