MISTLETOE SHOW

Jingle-Balls_copy2The platinum-selling band Train will visit The Mahaffey Theater (400 1st St. S.) in St. Petersburg on Friday, December 19 at 7:30 p.m., for Mix 100.7’s annual holiday-season concert. The Mix 100.7 Mistletoe Show will also feature singers/songwriters Matt Nathanson and Mary Lambert. The show is produced by Ledge Entertainment, LLC.

With a resume packed with smashes like “Drops of Jupiter,” “Hey, Soul Sister” and “Drive By,” Train is one of the most successful alternative-rock bands of the last decade. Released in early September, the San Francisco quintet’s seventh album Bulletproof Picasso has so far produced two hits – the soaring “Angel in Blue Jeans” (accompanied by a video starring actor Danny Trejo in full Machete mode) and “Cadillac, Cadillac.”

Matt Nathanson’s new single, “Headphones,” is an uplifting and unforgettable dance-ready rock track, featuring the Massachusetts native sharing vocal duties with the singer Lolo. Nathanson’s best-known songs include “Come on Get Higher” (from the platinum Some Mad Hope album), and the power ballad “Run,” featuring Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland.

Singer/songwriter Mary Lambert’s unforgettable voice helped to make Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’ “Same Love” one of the decade’s biggest hits. The out lesbian singer recently released her first full-length album, Heart on My Sleeve, and performed this past June at St. Pete Pride.
