Late ’80s/early ’90s sensations New Kids on the Block reunited a few years ago, to the delight of many of their fans, who loved them when they were teenagers 25 years ago and still love them today. With this new tour, called “The Main Event,” New Kids on the Block welcome TLC and Nelly along with them, and all of these recording artists will be performing live on-stage at two venues here in Florida. The first stop on the Florida leg of their 47-city tour is in Sunrise at the BB&T Center on Thursday, June 4 at 7 p.m. The next night, theNewKids_copy1y will perform all their hits to the crowds in Orlando at the Amway Center starting at 7 p.m.

New Kids on the Block’s current lineup consists of Jonathan Knight, Jordan Knight, Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg and Danny Wood. Many of the singers in the group have gone on to form successful careers on their own. Jonathan Knight, who is openly gay, was recently seen on the CBS reality show The Amazing Race. Donnie Wahlberg can be seen in a supporting role on CBS’s drama Blue Bloods, and also on the A&E reality series Wahlburgers. Performing with New Kids on the Block are R&B superstar Nelly and the two surviving members of TLC, Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas.

Audiences can expect to hear some of Nelly’s greatest hits, followed by TLC’s catalogue of hit singles. Then, there’s “the main event,” when the members of New Kids on the Block come out in dramatic fashion, like fighters entering the ring, and they will perform many of the new songs they’ve written since reuniting, followed by all of the favorites from the ’80s and ’90s.
