Nephew of the Week: Justin Cayce

Justin is a fun-loving and involved, community-spirited guy. His wit and dry jokes will have you laughing for hours. You will encounter Justin on the weekends behind the front bar at Hamburger Mary’s in GaYBOR.

You Just Can’t Make This Stuff Up!

Jameson Whisky drinkers are very passionate about their drink of choice. There are even Jameson Balls held every year where only Jameson is deservingly served. One day, two guys were having a great time drinking Jameson in the bar. A person pushed their way in between the guys to order a drink. In doing so, this person spilled the Jameson drink on the bar.

I more than quickly grabbed a bar towel from the sanitized water bucket and started to wipe up the spilled drink. Just then, one of the guys yelled, “What are you doing? You can’t waste Jameson like that!”

He then grabbed the towel out of my hand and squeezed it out into his mouth. OMG! Of course it must have tasted very nasty! He ran over to the balcony railing and spit it all out on the street below. The people sitting at the tables on the street below started to yell. Only in Ybor City!

At the resort, there were dozens of eclectic retail shops, restaurants, weekly tea dances, community theatre, national recording artists’ performances, concerts, top Vegas-style drag performances, an abundant number of bars and clubs on premises and overall fun.
