Mark Your Calendars The Gasparilla Sant' Yago Knight Parade tradition continues and will be winding its way on 7th Avenue through GaYBOR District Saturday, February 18th! This historic annual traveling parade always has tens of thousands in attendance waning for pirate booty beads. There will be a new tradition starting at the Metro Wellness Center. In the Metro parking lot on 7th Avenue will be food trucks! So far Wicked Witches and Killer Samich food trucks have committed and more are coming! Ever want to be on a float in the parade? Here is your chance. The GaYBOR District Coalition float has spaces available for members. Become a member of GaYBOR for as little as $35 per year. The tickets are only $20 and you may purchase them at MC Film in GaYBOR. With the ticket you get drinks, munchies, beads and a chance to make great new friends. Everybody is required to dress in the festive pirate spirit. One of the best places to view the parade is from the Hamburger Mary's Balcony right on 7th Avenue! Tea Cup will be the bartender there. See you all at the parade. . .

On a picture perfect day the 2012 Gasparilla Invasion went off without any problems. GaYBOR District was packed with all kinds of party animals, like weekend Pirates, a fun filled circus, Naughty Butt Pirates, Circuit bozs, great entertainment all over and the women of the Olivia Cruise made the weekend special. GaYBOR was truly a melting pot of diversity!
Oh, by the way, did we mention over 3,000 gay baseball players and fans will be in GaYBOR that night also for the Annual Gasparilla (Gay) Softball Tournament?!
