Last Week in ReviewAHOY MATEYS – welcome to Gasparilla Weekend in Tampa. Gasparilla weekend is known as Florida's version of Mardi Gras and is one of the largest events of its kind in the country. This week there are lots of themed events going on for you to enjoy along with some great special events in Orlando as well. Tonight, Steam Friday's presents one of their amazing theme parties, CIRCUS. . .not circuit. Come out and see how the boys behind Florida Entertainment Group transform the already amazing looking Honey Pot into a 3 ringed circus full of fun, surprises and hot boys! Billboard Magazine reporting DJ/VJ Greg Anderson will be the musical ringleader for this master mind of a theme party. There will be a circus themed drag show by the Steam Girls at 11 pm along with an all-male review on newly designed 3rd level where DJ Charles will be pumping the dance beats. Doors open at 10 pm. Saturday, January 28th Tonight is the second event in the Gancho Weekend line up and is called Gancho. The event will feature DJ Ralphi Rosario. This event will take place at The Ritz in Ybor City, 1503 E. 7th Ave. General admission tickets are $45, $55 at the door/day of the event. Doors open at 10 pm. Visit ganchoweekend.com Tonight, G. Bar is proud to present The Ultimate Seduction featuring DJ Joe Gauthreaux. They tell me that a "Parental Advisory" comes along with this event due to its "explicit content"...hmm, that makes it sound even better! They will have porn stars appearing live such as Landon Conrad from Falcon and Angel Rock from Collegedudes.com. There is a $5 cover to enjoy this event. DJs Power Infiniti and Scorpio will be taking you well into the wee hours of the morning with music that only these two superstars can give you! Sunday, January 29th Tonight is the official closing party for the Gancho Tampa weekend called Unleashed. This event will be headed up DJ Oren Niziri on the first floor and DJ Mike on the second and third floors and will be held at RISE Sundays at Tabu Ultralounge, Tampa's ONLY all gay 3 story nightclub featuring a rooftop lounge/dancefloor! 1611 E. 7th avenue. Tonight is the kick-off of Gancho Tampa Weekend, Tampa's "Gay Gasparilla." A weekend celebration of hot parties, world renowned DJs and entertainment centered around Tampa's 108 year old Gasparilla Pirate Fest also known as Florida's Mardi Gras. Tonight's event is called Havoc and is featuring DJ Abel. This event will be held at The Amphitheatre located at 1609 E. 7th ave in Ybor City. General admission tickets are $30, $40 at the door.
