Congrats go out to the staff of Monkey Business and the drag family who put on a fabulous turnabout show last Sunday to raise money to send Shardee Ross to Dallas for the Miss Gay USA pageant. The showstopper was Randy, who came out on stage in a flowing feather coat and performed to “I’m so pretty” and brought the house down. Some of the usual drag queens performed as men, such as Lady Fancy, who performed as a cowboy with his partner to the song “Sisters”. Over $800 was raised to send Shardee to represent Fort Lauderdale in Dallas. Bring home that Tiara, honey.
Do you like free cocktails? What are you doing on Wednesday and Saturday nights? If you like free drinks and great music then plan on stopping by Jet Set between 10 pm-Midnight for free cocktails and great music by DJ Daisy Deadpetals. Hang around for some great dancing and the Div-A-Licious show hosted by Mizz Cori.
Drag queens are on the move……….Trannie Palace has now moved over to Bill’s and will also be on Sunday nights now. Trannie Palace, hosted by Misty Eyez, is a great place for new drag queens to try out their acts and get some pointers from the more experienced girls. Show times will be at 10:00 pm and 11:30 pm, so stop by and enjoy some great entertainment and cocktails.
How do you like your cowboys? If you like them on the dance floor or outside on a patio then go to Scandals. If you like them in a smaller environment with music and soft porn playing then the new Stable will be more to your liking. The staff at Stable (very hot men) will make sure that you enjoy yourself.
Get well wishes go out to Lawrence Fox, who became ill while on vacation in California. He is doing better now and should be returning to Fort Lauderdale soon.

Auditions for Rising Action Theatre’s Production of Take Me Out and Some Men will be held Sunday May 18 from 6 pm - 9 pm by appointment. Some Men, by Terrence McNally, is about the gay experience and growth in the 20th Century. Needed: men from 18-65. All races; Caucasian, Asian and African Americans. For Take Me Out you must look like a baseball player, except for the coach and the accountant roles.
