Discotekka Hits One-Year Old
Being a newborn baby has its benefits; there is always someone who is more than willing to feed you and change your diapers and everyone wants to play with you. Like a newborn baby, Diskotekka’s greatness has been passed around by word-of-mouth by everyone from common club patrons to models on the covers of local, and in some cases, national magazines. After one year of steady growth, Discotekka has come quite a ways since those very early days.

Last week Discotekka had their busiest week in the club’s one-year history. From the 2008 Winter Music Conference opening party on March 25th, a host of deejays including That Kid Chris, D.J. Kidd Madonny, and Dave Rosario, a live concert with Pepper Mashay, and afterhours host Kevin Aviance, Winter Music Conference Week at Discotekka was a week to remember.

Edison Strikes Gold Again
Our good friend, Edison Farrow and his SoBe Social Club is holding Innov8 Friday, a one-time gay Friday night event. This amazing event will be held in three spaces, each with its own vibe, at Rain Nighclub, 323 23rd Street on South Beach on Friday, April 4th. Enjoy cocktails and conversation in the open roof Outdoor Lounge. Drink and dance in the Main Bar with D.J. Daisy D. spinning dance hits with an open format. Dance until 5 am in the Dance Room to the sounds of special guest deejay Angelo Cortez. There will also be an Amateur Strip Contest with a $100 cash prize hosted by Daisy D. at 1 am. Doors to Innov8 Friday will open at 10 pm and admission is $10.
