Quickscripts Pharmacy

Getting a prescription filled can be a real pain. First, you have to call and deal with a machine to order your medication and then you have to stand around and wait when you have better things to do, or shop around the store where you end up spending more money than you ever planned to. Luckily, there are smaller, independent pharmacies around to alleviate this issue. You can go to a place where the pharmacists know you, are familiar with your medical issues and won’t make you wait around.

quickscriptpharmacy2Like the name implies, service at Quick Script is just that- it’s quick! The independent pharmacy, which has been around for 11 months, prides itself on its fast, friendly service. Owned by husband and wife Sam and Yanira, the pharmacy takes all insurances and will work with you if you are without any.

“We don’t see a reason why you should wait 10 to 15 minutes,” Sam said. ‘We think that’s too long.”

As soon as you enter Quick Script, you are greeted warmly and enthusiastically. Sam and Yanira know their customers by name. “We offer more personal service and can tailor their needs,” Sam said. “We know their situations.”

The couple is the only staff at Quick Script, so when you come in or call, you know who you are dealing with. “There’s no voice recorders when you call, you get a real person,” Sam explained.

quickscriptpharmacy3Clean and laid out nicely, the pharmacy also has a variety of over-the-counter drugs and cold drinks. The couple used to work at CVS Pharmacy and opened their business so that they could give the personal service that was missing. In fact, many of their CVS customers followed them when they opened Quick Script.

In addition to friendly, quick service, the couple takes the time to talk to their customers and answer any and all questions. They are also discreet and take their customers aside to discuss medical and financial issues.

Quick Script caters a lot to HIV-positive clientele and carries all of the medications. They work with a co-pay assistance program to help customers with expensive prescriptions. They also look to find alternative treatment.

“It it’s a brand name, we will call their doctor and talk about switching to a generic,” Sam said. “We’re really reasonable with prices and don’t overcharge. We offer lower prices and do the best we can to accommodate our customer’s situation.”

The couple is hoping to expand their business down the line and would like to open more stores. They plan to offer medical supplies, compounding needs and more.

Quick Script is located at 2412 Wilton Drive in Wilton Manors, in the same shopping center as Matty’s. Free parking is available. For further information, call 954-514-7685.
