SnapQpon Gives Back to the Community

One Magical Weekend, producers of the world famous Riptide at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Waterpark and Retro T-Dance events during Gay Orlando weekend, are proud to announce that they were able to raise and donate over $1,200.00 to Broward House, South Florida’s oldest and largest HIV/AIDS community service organization.

To accomplish this, One Magical Weekend donated a Private Cabana from their RipTide 2012 event to the charity, then using SnapQpon’s new LGBT auction site, Snap-Bids.com, they were able to raffle the cabana off.  In the end the raffle raised the money in just 24 hours.

“This money will aid us in keeping our promise to never say no” said Terry DeCarlo, Director of Development, Public Relations and Fundraising for Broward House, “We are thankful to be a part of One Magical Weekend and SnapQpon’s mission of giving back”.

Broward House is South Florida’s oldest and largest HIV/AIDS community service organization with 13 locations, and providing a myriad of services up to and including medical and housing. Their current client base contains over 6,000 South Florida women, children, men and families living with or at risk for the disease.

“SnapQpon and One Magical Weekend work closely with Broward House because we love the tireless work they do on a daily basis for the community” stated Michael Christ from SnapQpon and One Magical Weekend.
