Various Events in Historic Ybor in Tampa Known as Tampa’s Latin Quarter for over a century, Ybor City is an exotic blend of aromas, flavors, sights and sounds. Founded in 1886 by Vicente Martinez-Ybor as a cigar-manufacturing center, Ybor City today is one of only two National Historic Landmark Districts in Florida. Red brick buildings, wrought iron balconies and narrow brick streets give it an old-world charm that is a refreshing change of pace from the beach and the mall. Gaybor Events center around Ybor City and take place for one week. Here is a brief breakdown of what’s going down in Ybor! Gaybor Schedule Thursday, July 2nd Social, Karaoke Idols, Judy & Musicals! GaYBOR Days weekend kick-off party social party at Gameworks. Admission is only $15 and included in that is 2 hours of GameWorks fun card, a drag show, drinks and tapas. Families and adults welcome, 7 pm-10 pm. GaYBOR Karaoke Idols at Streetcar Charlies at 8 pm. Judy B. Goode and Pianoman Paul Thomas Show from 7 pm – 9 pm at YBor Social Club. College Night and Social Night hosted by Joey Brooks at the Ybor Social Club/ Ybor Eagle from 9 pm – 3 am and starring DJ Ramsey. Friday, July 3rd VIP Party, DJ Manny Lehman & DJ Daisy! All 80's After Work Party at YBor Social Club from 5 pm – 9 pm.. VIP Party hosted by Tampa Pro Massage at The Nest from 6 pm – 9 pm. DJ Manny Lehman at Steam Fridays with a Pistol Pete Underwear Fashion Show. Doors are open from 10 pm to 3 am with no cover before 10:30 pm G.Spot is the Largest Lesbian Party in the Southeast with DJ Daisy(from Pulse in Orlando) Doors open from 9 pm to 3 am with no cover before 10 pm. Bear Hunt is at Ybor Eagle from 9 pm to 3 am with a $100 in cash Pap Bear and Baby Bear contest and no cover all night. DJ Robby Clark spinning at The Social (YBor Social Club) from 9 pm to 3 am. Saturday, July 4th BBQ, Poolside Party, Boy Britney, Halcyon & More! July 4th BBQ at City Side Loungefrom 12 pm – 4 pm. GaYBOR Poolside Beach Party will be held at Howard Johnson Riverfront Plaza Hotel from 4 pm – 8 pm. This event is hosted by Carlos Anthony, Arica Love and Alexis De La Mar. There will also be chair massages by Fox Massage, a special appearance by the cast of Bathhouse the musical, and a performance by Beverly Wild. G.Bar presents, direct from NBC's America's Got Talent , Derrick Barry as Britney Spears and a live appearance by Thiago Santos (BangBangBoys.com & Raging Stallion). DJ Greg Anderson spins the main room and VJ Blake in the video lounge from 9 pm-3 am, with no cover before 10 pm. Tease, the premier lesbian party at The Honey Pot from 9pm – 3am with a live performance by Halcyon. Live Appearance by Raging Stallion and Bangbangboys.com Thiago Santos at The Ybor Eagle 9pm – 3am. Afterhours show at Ybor City Resort and Spa with Thiago Santos. Sunday, July 5th Gaybor Brunch & Gaybor Bar Craw. GaYBOR Brunch at Streetcar Charlie's from 11 am to 2 pm.
