 Hello and Welcome to Venture Out Florida... The fun Gay and Lesbian social group for Broward and Palm Beach counties. Venture Out was created in 2005 to help gay and lesbian people make new friends, share fun times, and escape the ordinary with unique and enjoyable activities throughout South Florida! Currently, there are over 1300 registered users of all ages.

 Venture Out on Saturday, December 6th for a fun and easy-going evening of pizza, planning, and a movie at the Delray Beach home of Kevin and Rudy. The evening starts at 8pm as we gather for drinks, conversation, pizza, and our seasonal planning meeting to develop a fun 3-month calendar of events for Venture Out.
This a great chance to meet Tony and Mark, two great guys who have stepped forward to lead Venture Out to a fun new future. After the planning meeting- around 9:30pm- we'll "pick a flick" and settle in to watch a fun film.
The evening will wrap up around midnight. We'll be asking for a $5 to $10 donation to cover the pizza/drinks. Please bring your own adult beverages. If you've never been to a Venture Out event, this is a great opportunity to check us out and meet some fun and friendly folks.

This is your chance to help create a better social scene for the GLBT community in South Florida. No more, "What can I do tonight?" "Where can I meet normal, fun & cute people?" Join us and help create the future social programming of Venture Out. Venture Out is YOUR GROUP. We need you to suggest ideas and activities (and be willing to volunteer to help plan it) to fill our calendar for the upcoming Winter Season. See you at 8pm!
After three years of running Venture Out, the time has come for me to step aside and let someone else- or a team of people- run this special community organization. Increasing personal, professional commitments and travel have eaten into the five hours each week I typically spend managing the group. However, my diminished role in the organization should not be Venture Out's demise; if Venture Out is to succeed, I need your help.
On any given week, my four main tasks include:
- Website management (i.e. updating the calendar, managing the Joomla (database) driven site, sending out weekly HTML newsletter emails).
- Event scripting (writing fun and colorful descriptions of activities in HTML format for the website).
- Marketing/publicity (designing and distributing postcards, fielding phone calls, etc.)
- Ensuring that the seasonal calendar is well-balanced and each event is properly coordinated by another member.
If you have the interest, ability and time to take over any or all of above tasks, let's talk! Whether it's one or two people (as it's been) or a small well-functioning team/board of directors, the organization needs people to maintain its varied calendar of weekly events for the GLBT community. Plus, if you are looking for a business opportunity and a source of additional revenue, Venture Out holds enormous untapped potential.
