The new spot on Gandy Blvd. that just opened is B & G Sports Bar right across the street from Derby Lane Dog Track (the rainbow flag marks the spot). Owners Marco and Marcus are both from the Eastern European country of Bulgaria. We truly enjoyed meeting the new bar owners. There are specials every night. Come out and meet the new boys in town.
Some things are always the same and sometimes creativity is a charm. A low flying plane is flying over the St. Pete beaches with a Rainbow Pride Flag and banner saying “Sunday T-Dance at Club Nautical.” The club is also the new home to Theatre Director Trevor Keller and his theatrical group, Gypsy Productions Inc., known for their great and sometimes controversial stage productions of alternative plays. Bartender Kevin was at the front bar making up fantastic martinis and club owner Mary Lee was focusing on new upcoming shows for the club. We don’t want to forget Mark M. working the show bar! The dancers were just upside down. Club Mgr. Mark S. took us backstage to see Miss Alicia Markstone, Coco Montrase and Esme Russell before the exciting stage curtain went up for their weekend show. Notice the dark tan Alicia has on her bod! Coco Beach is a great place to lie out for sunrays!
We hear that one of the owners of Ybor Resort & Spa has a BIG birthday! I need not say more, right owner FRED! Carnival Cruise Tour operators were in Ybor looking and planning out new ideas for new upcoming GLBT tours from Tampa Bay! Stilettos Showbar in New Port Richey has closed. Queens Head, a new restaurant, is to be opening soon on Central Ave. Bryan from the King & I Restaurant in St. Pete is going to Laos and Thailand for 5 weeks and will be a special tour guide. Team Tampa Bay is re-grouping for the athletes to go and take home Olympic Gay Games trophies in Cologne, Germany next year.
