The Antisocial Club
Rapidly becoming the place to be on Monday night is the Antisocial Open Mic Night at the Ybor Social hosted by New York, Paris and Ybor celebrities Jermey Gloff and Peter Botti. Last week after the band set up Jermey told the guys to take off those shirts! We like his style! Doors open at 9:30 with open mic until 12:30 when Dance Party with DJ Leah Q begins. See you there next Monday night.

It’s easy to see why the Ybor Social has become so very popular every night, especially on Thursday nights. The Show starts at 7 pm with Judy B Goode & Paul Thomas on stage till 9:30 followed by college nights with Miss Joey Brooks! Now open: The Ybor Eagle in the basement!

WOW what a party night in GaYBOR! The group started with dinner at Streetcar Charlie’s before heading off to a great show at L’ Olivier’s. We stopped in at the Reservoir Bar for a famous Mamma Birthday Paddling then on to G.BAR for dancing. Last stop was the Ybor Eagle, where “what happen at The Eagle stays at The Eagle!”
Jimmy James Appears
Impressionist/ Illusionist Jimmy James appeared in GaYBOR recently at Streetcar Charlie’s. We first met up with Jimmy James at our MC FILM store on South Hyde Park in the early 90s while he was working on a cruise ship docked in Tampa. Through the many years at numerous appearances in the area we have grown to know this most remarkable person. Appearing across the country and now in Las Vegas, he has a fantastic singing voice and imitates Marilyn Monroe and Billie Holiday to the T! We understand he may be working for one of the big casinos in Las Vegas soon, but most recently he has signed on to do a performance at Streetcar Charlie’s this fall. Go see Jimmy when he performs in P-Town, Chicago, Las Vegas or even in Tampa or Ft. Lauderdale.
People Are Talking
The opening of Ybor Resort & Spa is coming closer. A lot of people commented on seeing the featured haunted hospital, now hotel on the SCI FI TV Network’s “Ghost Hunters.” This was only one of many local and national groups checking out the ghostly facility. Speaking of the new hotel, owner Fred is also involved with movie scenery and has been working with the new “Sex in the City II” movie and attended the cast party in Miami over the weekend.
