St Pete Pride
The original “gay pride” flag consisted of eight stripes like in a natural rainbow. (For various reasons, this version has seen little adoption by the community, which has mostly stuck with the better known six-striped version).
They are:
hot pink – sexuality
red – life
orange – healing
yellow – sunlight
green – nature
turquoise magic of life
blue serenity/harmony
violet – spirit

Stonewall Commemorative Reception
Thursday, June 25th from 6 pm to 9 pm at the St Petersburg Museum of Fine Arts, 255 Beach Drive NE, St Petersburg. St Pete Pride’s Sponsor and Friends Reception (replaces the Taste of Pride, which is returning as a new event in October 2009). Enjoy fine foods, beautiful art including Andy Warhol Portfolios: Life and Legends. Admission is $30 in advance, $40 at the door.
Laughter In Paradise
Friday, June 26th, from 8 pm to 11 pm at the Tradewinds Resort, 5500 Gulf Blvd – St. Pete Beach. The lineup this year includes three young comedians from the Logo Network’s “Laughing Matters: Next Gen”: Gloria Bigelow, Edison Apple and Amy Tee.
Pride Night at Georgie’s Alibi
Friday, June 26th at 9 pm. Georgie’s Alibi, 3100 3rd Avenue North, St Petersburg.
Una Voce Pride Pancake Breakfast
Saturday, June 27th from 7 am to 10 am at the King of Peace MCC, 3150 5th Avenue North, St Petersburg. The best way to start your St Pete Pride Day is in the social hall with an all you can eat pancake breakfast, $6.00 with $1.00 being donated to St Pete Pride.
St. Pete Pride Promenade
Saturday June 27th, from 10 am to 1 pm. Line up across from Georgie’s Alibi Promenade, where the line-up begins at 9 am for a 10am start time…be prompt! The Promenade proceeds east on 3rd Avenue to 30th Street, then south by Seminole Park in Historic Kenwood, then east on Central Avenue to 20th Street.

Saturday, June 27th from 11 am to 4 pm at the Central Avenue Grand Center Biz District.
Pride Bingo Night
Saturday, June 27th from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at the King of Peace MCC, 3150 5th Avenue N, St Petersburg.
Detox Beach Day
Sunday, June 28th from 10 am to 5 pm at the GLBT beaches. Get OUT your rainbow towels, umbrellas, chairs and hit the beach! Some of our favorite GLBT friendly beaches include Ft Desoto, Pass-A-Grille, Gulfport, North Shore Beach and Sunset Beach, where the Smart Car will be on display (your last day to purchase tickets for the raffle).
Retox Party
