We Hear
That internationally known interior designer Michael Beamish is designing “The Manor” on the Drive, a multi-level 16,000 sq ft night club, restaurant and so much more, owned by Paul Hugo and Brett Tannebaum.  Michael is well known also for designing Jim Kolkana’s famed penthouse. The handsome, charming Michael has so many wonderful designing credits, I could not begin to name them all. He is a truly wonderful gentleman and we salute him!
That The Depot (see photo) has some very entertaining bartenders, amongst them Billy, who is fast becoming one of the most popular in town. Also known for his hair designing skills, Billy is helping to create a new buzz about The Depot, owned by handsome Jim. Also check out Peter (formerly of Boots) on the patio and of course hunk David. Travel icon and Vice Chair of Tourist Development Richard Gray was spotted there recently with Wilton Manors Vice Mayor Justin Flippen.
That my old friend Beverly McMahon is back in town and opening her old establishment, which many years ago was called “The Otherside,” but in the same location Bev with Sharon and Denny will be opening The Mix on the Drive. Look for a September opening! Love you, Bev!
That Voodoo is now catering to a gay clientele on Saturdays. Look for Vicky Bennett and Jason tending bar and get the best in cocktails from this fabulous duo!
That John Manzi, former owner of the original Cathode Ray, will be coming to Fort Lauderdale at the end of July to create a new non-profit, non – political organization for the benefit of gay charities. Events will be planned in a scale never seen before. When you see John please give him your input!
That “The Sun” will be heading to Fort Lauderdale in the near future! Stay tuned here for the exclusive!
That Toni Barone’s Sunday Sea Monster T-Dance is going gangbusters and D.J. Bill Hallquist spins the best sounds around. Get there soon as it is packed to capacity with hotties!
Many thanks to all my very good friends who remembered me on July 2nd with cards, flowers, gifts etc. I was deeply touched. Thank you all so very, very much!
That The Boardwalk continues it’s Cavalcade Of Stars with the hot hot Ricky Sinz, appearing Friday and Saturday the 17th and 18th with two shows nightly and free admission if you dine at Beefcakes!
