MDGLCC – Explore/Expo & Taste of Miami
The 2nd Annual Explore/EXPO, Miami-Dade Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce’s business expo, will take place in the Miami Beach Convention Center, 1901 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach, FL., on Saturday, October 3, 2009, from 12 noon to 8:00 pm. Attendees will have the opportunity to have face-to-face contact with over three hundred businesses that will be represented at this all-day business expo. Explore/EXPO is FREE and open to the public.
The 1st Annual MDGLCC/TASTE OF MIAMI, Miami-Dade Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce’s first “Taste” sampling will also take place in the Miami Beach Convention Center, on Saturday, October 3, 2009, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Twenty MDGLCC member restaurants will be represented; among them are Michael’s Genuine Food & Drink, Perricone’s Café & Marketplace and Soyka’s Restaurant Café & Bar, with a Bacardi Lounge Bar, a Barefoot Wine Station and a Design Within Reach Resting Area. This is a VIP event with an entrance fee of $45.00 ($60.00 at the door) to benefit the MDGLCC Foundation Scholarship Program supporting area youth.
The Miami-Dade Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (MDGLCC) is the largest not-for-profit corporation in the county for gay and lesbian businesses. With membership on the rise, the Chamber’s mission is to promote a unified and thriving gay and gay-friendly business and professional community throughout Miami-Dade County. Our goals are to promote networking within the existing gay and gay-friendly business and professional community, to promote business opportunities for Chamber members, to promote Miami as a year-round gay and gay-friendly tourist destination, to provide resources for our members, and to provide outreach from our community to other organizations.
Ample parking is available at the 17th Street Municipal Garage, the parking lot across from the Convention Center or on the street.
