The monthly Fort Lauderdale Mack Luncheon was held at Galanga and was a sold out crowd – another success for the Mack Planet boys Dan and DJ.. The sponsor for the event was lawyer George Castrataro who gave an informative 5 minute talk on the benefits of legal representation.  Friday was the grand opening of Tout at the Manor, which transformed itself for this new Friday event. The club was packed and I saw friends from Fort Lauderdale, Miami and West Palm. The décor was amazing, the shows fabulous and the music uplifting as only DJ Chaos can play. Congratulations to Brett, Paul, Gary, Jason and the entire Manor and Tout staffs on a huge opening night success.

WhatsHot9My friend, Uwe Schroeder, has started a new company in which he designs leather cuffs called Wolf Cuff, a uniquely designed collection of leather cuffs constructed on the idea of two separate pieces of leather intricately interlocking to form a cuff for the wrist. It’s simple yet sturdy basis of one piece of leather going thru a cutout within the 2nd piece of leather, then riveted together assures the cuff to never come apart and sets it aside in craftsmanship and quality to other comparable products. Each piece is handcrafted and therefore one of a kind. Every facet of the manufacturing of each Wolf Cuff is engineered to not only make the product more durable but supplies esthetic artwork to each cuff. From the rivets placement, color, and type to other appliqués such as rhinestones, cutouts and medallions, ensures that the possibilities of appearance are endless. Based on ten basic designs for the standard line, the consumer can create a personalized piece that can withstand the test of time. Branching out consumers can now purchase cuffs made of alligator, stingray, and with lines for the rodeo, AIDS Walk, and that have watch faces, etc.  Wolf Cuff will have a booth in front of Alibi throughout rodeo weekend. Stop by and say hello. You can check them out at WolfCuff.com

WhatsHot10WhatsHot11Some people simply freak out at the thought of dancing. Whether it’s at a wedding, at a bar, or even at their first dance class, some people are so overwhelmed at the feeling of being humiliated and shamed that they cringe and cave inward and either hide wherever they can or walk away. James Joseph, author of “Every Man’s Survival Guide to Ballroom Dancing,” says plain and simple, “It doesn’t have to be that way. Dancing can transform someone who thinks they are doomed for life into a winner who is as popular and sought after wherever they go.” “You can break through your fear barriers if, before you even step on the floor, you get some really straight forward attitude adjustment,” he says. “It’s a crucial action. Once done, you are free to enjoy the pleasures that can be found.” And those who take the plunge have found a world of enjoyment that is hard to compare.

Jim says, “You don’t know how to really live, unless you’ve learned how to dance.” Part guerrilla manual and part cotillion handbook, this book teaches the basic principles common to all music and dance, enabling you to walk onto any dance floor and perform an admirable dance, with any partner, to any music, with confidence and grace. Learn a foolproof method for hearing the beat of the music, how to count music, the correct way to count step patterns, rhythm: single, double and triple-the building blocks of all dances, simple rhythm patterns that will get you through any song and more. This book provides comprehensive easy to learn guidance on slow dancing, survival dancing, the wedding dance, and even how to fake a dance. It also includes 17 easy exercises (most you can do without a partner). Finally, Jim says, that you will learn to dance the best if you dance to the music you love. Big-band, blues, disco, Latin, salsa, waltz, soul, rock ‘n roll, cha-cha, hip-hop, country & western, top 40. Take your pick. Do what you love. You can purchase the guide at Amazon.com for only $13.45 or at many retail book chains.
