On Wednesday, the first night, 1/2 of the group took to the stage for their auditions. On Thursday, the second half was on stage. On Friday night, the top 12 contestant were called out and given the opportunity to give it their merry all! Many in the pageant had incredible backup dancers and full Las Vegas style routines. We still have a crush on the back up dancers from Iowa (wink, wink)! Many past crown holders were here to perform and socialize with old friends and fans. Congratulations to this year’s winner from Atlanta, Georgia, Miss Tahjee Iman! The contestants and fans repeatedly commented on how welcomed they felt here. They all loved being able to walk from their hotels to party, eat and shop in Ybor City, so much so that they have already booked to bring the national pageant back the next 2 years. Another national pageant has also picked Ybor City for its national pageant! Congratulations and thanks to all Ybor City businesses and resident for making out of towners so welcome.
