The Bay bursts onto the restaurant and nightclub scene with a truly grand opening on October 23rd, the likes of which are sure to make Miami legend. This spacious 23,000 square foot waterfront venue features a grandiose brick entranceway, a wine room to host well over a thousand bottles (make sure to check out the double doors rescued from vintage traincars), four bars and a state-of-the-art kitchen. The Bay will cater to the most cost-conscious, offering unique fare and hand-crafted cocktails without breaking the bank or skimping on design.

The theme for the grand opening is “Illusions” and will have you redefining your opinion of what’s possible. The most influential movers and shakers of South Florida gay nightlife will host the event, expected to draw well over two thousand anticipatory night-lifers, while international DJ/producer Twisted Dee pumps his sound out over the undulating waters that encase the open-aired back of the venue. They will also be teaming up with Florida Equality as their sponsoring partner. The night will be full of surprises that have yet to grace the South Florida gay nightlife scene.

The Bay’s menu boasts eclectic fare at it’s finest. Executive and celebrity chef, Guily Booth, says, “I think my food is a little bit of everything. It includes regional diversity and exotic ingredients, never forgetting the comfort aspect. My main ingredients are a lot of love and passion.”

The brainchild of legendary nightclub owner Patrick Reilly and South Beach DJ, George Figares, The Bay is a welcome change to the obvious Miami Beach club scene. Mr. Reilly is known for owning Paragon, one of Miami’s most influential hotspots, now known as Mansion. “We are bringing back the excitement to nightlife. Giving people a reason to go out again. We are not trying to reinvent the wheel: we are taking the best of the wheel and bringing it back,” says Mr. Reilly.

George Figares has been a staple in South Florida nightlife for over 8 years, carving out a soliaragod reputation up and down the east coast. “We are trying to bring something fresh to the South Florida gay community, something that doesn’t exist right now. We have taken the most attractive elements from Miami’s nightlife and set them in a comfortable and engaging environment,” says Mr. Figares.

The space is inspiring enough—take on the best DJ’s Miami has to offer, a mature food and drink menu sure to please any palate and the revitalizing night breezes that have made Miami infamous and you’ve got a serious contender for the number one spot on everyone’s party list.
