We don’t decide, we simply present the emerging trends.
What are men wearing this fall/winter?
The athlete fashion underwear is what’s hot. 2xist, Teamm8, Timoteo all have exciting new jock styles coming out. Also, anything that makes male packages look bigger is huge (pun intended). Aussiebum Wonderjock and Andrew Christian Show-it are some of our favorites.
Is there a hot color for fall?
There is no dominant color this season. Instead, it’s all about patterns and bold colors that attract the eye. Stripes are also being featured by a number of brands.
Women have been willing to spend money on their intimates. Why have men been slow to invest in proper undergarments?
Before now, there wasn’t much worth paying top dollar for. Men’s underwear has evolved from being a simple piece of clothing to something that helps shape men’s body or even helps men perform better while working out.
Are straight men finally realizing the importance of designer briefs?
Gay guys were the early adopters but, today, all guys see underwear as an important piece of fashion that helps express their individuality.
What advice can you offer young designers who are considering launching their own label?
Be prepared to work hard and do your research. Invest in a top notch website and hire a fantastic photographer. Seek feedback before your produce 5,000 pieces of underwear that people won’t buy. Be bold and different.
Who are some up-and-coming underwear designers?
Australia is finally producing successful designers other than AussieBum. Our favorite underwear designer is 2eros. As far as swimwear, Marcuse swimwear is certainly one to watch. Speaking of ones to watch, the men featured on Dailyjocks attract a lot of attention. Our men are without a doubt what draws people to our site.
How do you choose the men featured?
We receive emails from hundreds of aspiring models. We’re always on the lookout for real men. Our members aren’t interested in polished-up images.
What is the current state of the underwear industry?
For men who wear underwear, it’s never been better. There are so many brands to choose from, with some very cool designs. You can really express your personality in any way possible. We’ve moved beyond boring tighty whities.
