One of the most anticipated holiday events of the season is Steam Fridays at The Honey Pot! This year was no exception, as the theme was “The Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies!” The evening included snow falling inside and out, a special holiday drag show, a surround light show and DJ Manny Lehman with VJ Greg Anderson and VJ Charles. Photos cannot capture the electric excitement in the air.
There is always something exciting going on at Hamburger Mary’s! Sunday was the second week for the new all-you-can-eat gospel brunch. Judging by the packed house, it was quite the success! Speaking of success, The Judy B. Goode & Mike Hamonds Toy Drive collected a mountain of toys!

What is up at WMNF radio? Last week they cancelled the only and oldest running GLBT radio talk show in Tampa Bay. The half hour show, “Out in the Open”, which was on the last Wednesday of the month, has been a staple for the LGBT Community for many years. Monthly host John Chambrone, Dewey Thompson-Davis, and others volunteered their time and energy.

For over the past 40 years Donald Vanderboegh has hosted a Holiday Christmas Party at his home. This year the tradition continued not with a piano player or cabaret act as in years past, but a very talented Steel Drum Player, Jimmy Pillucers, who wowed the guests with holiday music all night long. The guests dined on traditional holiday foods and Thai delights from “The Queen & I Restaurant” The party for next year is already under way!
