New Year’s Eve Part 1

United Healthcare Children’s Foundation Parade & Band Blast

The traditional Outback Bowl Parade has a new sponsoring organization for the New Yea’rs Eve parade and changed its name to the United Healthcare Children’s Foundation Parade and Band Blast. This year 41 bands participated in the Ybor City 7th Ave early evening festivity. We participated by dressing in pirate costumes and riding the Spirit of Cigar City Krewe Float. We had brought along our big gold frame, which is a Mark & Carrie tradition for New Year’s Eve. We framed a lot of people that night! We were invited guests with Ybor City Development Corp board members and YCDC manager Vince Pardo, retail chair Joe Howden, YCDC Econ manager Brenda Thrower, General David Scott and marketing person Veronica S. were on the float also. We definitely kicked the party up a few notches. The super friendly krewe had a full bar to make traveling down 7th Ave with the tens of thousand spectators that much easier. The beads flew from our hands to the visiting Penn State fans and the arm clapping Florida Gator crusaders. It was a solid big roar as we traveled through the valley of 7th Ave. We were invited to the Outback Bowl President’s Balcony Party for some adult beverages and snacks! No steaks or blooming onions were to be found! Of course, pictures were in order. A great fun warm night and to our most gracious hosts, Spirit of Cigar City Krewe, thank you!

New Year’s Eve Part 2

Hamburger Mary’s Tampa Balcony

Onto Hamburger Mary’s Tampa for the New Years Eve Floor show! We were still dressed in our over-the-top pirate gear and carrying our ‘Big Gold Frame’ for pictures. Those fabulous and juicy HM burgers were on the night’s menu. The place is always being packed and New Year’s Eve was no exception. The charmed bartenders were in special array and the efficient and succulent wait staff were flying through the packed crowds. Miss Sharon Rose, Rich Kerin, Mark & Carrie all took stride in the mountainous activity and sheer excitement of the last night of the year street party!

New Year’s Eve Part 3

Steam Fridays

The Honey Pot stage was decorated with Black Tie silhouettes and the lineup of show entertainment went on and on! There were balloons, champagne and a packed house of hot guys in all types of white dapper vestments. It was an occasion for fantastic new year beginnings and a White Party theme. It was definitely a night to dress to impress! Wow! That was New Years Eve for 2011! Happy New Years in 2011!
