Adam’s Interiors Offers Unique Contemporary Furniture for your Home

contemporary-furniture-adams-interiors-2Adam’s Interiors has only been around for two years, but in that short period of time they have managed to garner attention for having unique contemporary furniture that you can’t find anywhere else.

Located on what is locally known as Furniture Row on Federal Highway in Fort Lauderdale, Adam’s isn’t a chain. There is only one location a stunning 26,000 square foot store has everything you need to make sure the pieces in your home stand out.

Owner Mike Flick has over 46 years of experience in the furniture business. In 2008, Flick decided it was time to launch his baby. He had millions of dollars of renovations done to the building and upgraded it with new ceilings, state-of-the-art lighting and more. In fact, the lighting at Adam’s Interiors is one of the things that make it stand out — it’s specially designed to reflect the true color of the furniture and is extremely energy efficient.

When Flick was deciding what kind of furniture to sell at Adam’s Interiors, he decided he wanted to offer what was missing from Broward Country.

“Why be the same as everybody else?” he wondered.

He realized that no other stores of their size only offered contemporary furniture.

Flick said his goal at Adam’s is two-fold.

“I want to offer exceptional service — I never want us to have to apologize for service or quality,” he explained. “And uniqueness is the other goal.”

Adam’s Interiors has furniture from over 32 countries. Besides carrying unique items, the company itself is unusual in many ways. At Adam’s they offer larger swatches of fabrics so that you can drape them over pieces and get an idea of how the finished look would be. They also offer the option of custom-design on around 75% of their pieces, so if you see something you like, but want it in another color or finish, the option is there. Another unusual option Adam’s offer is white glove service.

“Our delivery professionals deliver furniture wearing white gloves and white booties over their shoes,” Flick said.

They have a variety of rugs upstairs at their store and offer a fun option for their customers — if they have a picture they like, they can have it put into a carpet.

“Bring us a pattern and we can make it however you want,” Flick said.

They also have the largest variety of bar stools in the area. For those who want to use a designer, they offer a Design Center.

Some of the manufacturers that they offer include Couture, Kelvin Giormani, Woodbrook Designs, Directional, Seasonal Living Outdoor, American Leather, BDI, Calvin Klein, Flexsteel, H Studio, Johnston Casual, Elite Manufacturing, Moroni Leather, Skovby, Jesper, Tomasella, Statements; and pieces from Larry Laslo, Calvin Klein, Stanley Friedman, Rick Lee, Michael Wolk, Vladimir Kagan, Rob Jones, Louis Lara, Vera Wang and Shloami Haziza.

Don’t let the variety of brand names intimidate you because Adam’s offers fantastic deals for all price ranges. Upstairs at Adam’s there is a clearance section which offers gorgeous pieces for a steal. For example, a large leather couch that was originally listed for $4,499 is on sale for $1,698 and a detailed glass table which was originally listed for $699 is now on sale for $99.

“We have a lot on clearance right now because a lot of new items have just come in,” Flick explained.

Another important aspect of Adam’s Interiors is there community involvement. They have made a big impact with their annual fundraiser “Evening of Elegance” which raises money for HospiceCare of Southeast Florida. They were also a sponsor of the PrideFest that recently passed and, this past Christmas, their furniture was seen at the Hotspots Holiday Celebration, which was a benefit for the Pride Center at Equality Park.

“It’s important that all of our money is not going to some corporate office,” said Flick. “What’s earned here, stays here.”
