Thursday night started the weekend early with a huge birthday party at Twist for Joel’s (owners) boyfriend Peter Morales. Thursday’s are generally busy at Twist for their incredible drink special, but tonight was extra packed to celebrate Peter’s birthday. While there I also enjoyed Sabroso, a Latino themed night featuring DJ Adora and the hot Gaiety dancers taking it off in the Bungalow Bar. Last Week in Review
Thursday night started the weekend early with a huge birthday party at Twist for Joel’s (owners) boyfriend Peter Morales.
Thursday’s are generally busy at Twist for their incredible drink special, but tonight was extra packed to celebrate Peter’s birthday. While there I also enjoyed Sabroso, a Latino themed night featuring DJ Adora and the hot Gaiety dancers taking it off in the Bungalow Bar. Saturday night was the Pridelines Youth Services 17th annual Youth Prom at FIU Biscayne Bay’s campus with the theme Villains & Superheroes. 
Congratulations to the King and Queen pictured here. Later that night I headed to the 14th anniversary of Noche Latina Florida being held at Noche Latina Saturdays at the Manor. Both the Dance room and the Patio were packed, so packed it was hard to take pics. Then I headed in to the Windsor Lounge which was taken over that night by Noche Latina and featured the Latin Band Tropical Dreams. The performances by house diva’s Viva Mirage and Erika Norell were stellar, the music by DJ Larry kept the dance floor filled all night and there was also a special performance by recording artist DC Cruz.
A special congrats to the grand prize winner of the raffle who took home a basket of goodies worth over $500 and the winners of all the other prizes and giveaways. Here’s wishing Noche Latina Florida many more years of success! On Sunday, Aids Healthcare Foundation produced the annual Florida AIDS Walk on the beach which expanded this year to include a music festival and attracted thousands of people to raise money for a great cause. Congrats to the entire organization and specifically the director of AIDS Walk, Mark Martin, for organizing such a successful event.

Boom presents a themed party all weekend long entitled Studio 54. The party starts tonight starring direct from Studio 54 DJs Robbie Leslie and Frank Corr. Saturday features the music of the 70’s and 80’s and on Sunday they feature a GIANT t dance. Original Studio 54 bartender, Sal, will be serving you fabulous cocktails all weekend long!
The Alibi will be featuring a La Cage Aux Follies ticket giveaway starting at 4pm with the Grand Prize being a limo ride to and from the show and dinner at the Alibi. La Cage will be playing at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts from June 12-24.

Discotekka in association with Milancita present Blanc, an all White affair featuring the sounds of DJ/producer Escape. The night will also be a birthday celebration for Poizon Ivy and feature a sparkling white production by Poizon and Gina DiAngelo and hosted by Athena Dion.
Bigger Saturdays at Score celebrates the birthday of recording artist Mandara who will be performing her latest hit live. Music by one of Miami’s favorites, Dj/producer George Figares.
The Manor presents a themed party entitled Exile starring DJ David Knapp with a performance by Erika Norell and cast. In the Latin Lounge and Patio DJ Larry tears it up with performances tonight by Noel Leon and Lady Charise. 10 pm; No Cover!
Eros Lounge presents the official kickoff event in Miami for Matinee New York Gay Pride with music by Charlie Rojas. There is limited capacity for this event and they invite you to get your free tickets in advance.

Lady Fancy’s monthly Gospel Jubilee takes place today at Scandals Saloon starting at 6 pm. Auntie Mame turns 70
Auntie Mame, the oldest living Drag Queen in captivity, will be celebrating her 70th birthday this weekend. If you want to celebrate with her you can catch her at Boardwalk on Sunday May 27th from 5 to 9 pm and then at Alibi for her XXX show on Monday, May 28th from 7 to 9 pm.
Hot Stuff
Riverwalk Trust’s Burger Battle III tool place last week and reigning 2 time champs, Georgie’s Alibi, did not compete but if you were in the VIP section they were serving up 2 burgers (one of which was a Cuban Frita) and a liquored up shake. Congrats to Rosies who took home the winner of the Best Bar & Grill Burger.
Condolences
Hotspots Magazine, Discotekka, Milancita and Juan Saco Mironoff mourn the untimely loss of Carlos Carrera who died in a tragic car accident this weekend. We send condolences sincere to his family and friends!
