The 22nd Annual Bowl-A-Thon to support the Poverello Food Bank will be held August 11, 2012 at the beautiful Sawgrass Lanes located at 8501 North University Drive – Tamarac. The generous support of our South Florida community has made this Poverello’s longest running fundraiser. Over One Million Dollars has been raised in the past 21 years, in pledges and in-kind gifts for our prizes and raffles.
Poverello is able to support over 3000 clients with much needed food, clothing, and household items and they are asking the community’s businesses for help in making this the most successful Bowl-A-Thon ever. They need anything that can be used for prizes and raffles. Only then will the “22nd Annual Bowl-A-Thon” be a success.
Every year the participants in the Bowl-A-Thon look forward to the party atmosphere created by the almost constant calling of numbers for prizes and gifts. Bar tabs and gift certificates for anything: haircuts, massages, dinners for two, weekends for two at guest houses and hotels and resorts, tax and legal services. The possibilities are unlimited, and your contribution will be appreciated now more than ever. The success of this long standing event is in no small measure due to the outstanding contributions the south Florida community has given to make this a fun filled day for all who participate.
