Equilibrium Events Presents the Third Annual “A Toy’s Story 3: A Night for Giving” Benefit

South Florida Gathers for This Special Evening of Giving Back to Local Charities

This holiday season, Marc Silverstone of Equilibrium Events is hosting the third-annual Toy’s Story: A Night for Giving. An event that gives back to the local charities that work year-round to enrich our communities, Toy’s Story is expected to draw in over five-hundred guests and hopes to raise $100,000 in proceeds for charity this year.

toy story02After a successful launch in 2010, drawing a crowd of 300, raising over $5,000 while collecting 2,000 toys for the participating charities, and an amazing 2011 event tripling the amount collected, Marc Silverstone has decided to try to double those numbers again this year by encouraging the involvement of several more local charities. Ranging from cancer prevention to care organizations, this year’s Toy’s Story will offer everyone a reason to participate.

The event will take place on Wednesday, December 5 at The Manor in Wilton Manors from 7pm to 10pm and will include a special appearance from American Idol Finalist Kimberly Locke.  Presale tickets are already available for $15 each, plus an unwrapped toy the day of the event. At the door, tickets will continue to be sold for $20 each plus an unwrapped toy. One-hundred percent of the proceeds collected during the evening (including earnings collected from ticketing) will be donated to charity. Thus far, the benefiting charities include SunServe, Broward House, Kids in Distress, PYP Foundation and the Jessica June Foundation.

“The idea is to have the community come out and share a night together being grateful for what we have and giving to those less fortunate,” explains Silverstone. “By involving so many varied charities, we hope to draw in support for each of these significant causes and collect the unwrapped toys for the children in our community whose lives have unfortunately been touched by tragedy in one way or another.”

The night will include a silent auction with items such as; a trip to Portugal donated by TAP airlines and SANA Hotels, a trip to San Juan, Puerto Rico donated by Jet Blue Airlines and the El San Juan Hotel, Diamond Necklaces, Celebrity Memorabilia, concierge event design, and amazing experiences with proceeds benefiting the local charities directly. A “Room of Giving” will be available for you to peruse and become familiar with the participating charities, make direct donations, and even learn about what you can do to help.

The evening will also host special appearances and a few performances, including a can’t-miss performance by Delfrida
