The Outback Bowl Parade is set for Dec 31st with SEC conference South Carolina and Big Ten Michigan football teams vying it out for the big, nationally broadcast, Outback Bowl Football game January 1st.

The parade starts at 5 pm in Ybor City all along 7th Ave. with a battle of the universities’ bands competition right after that in the Czar Parking lot. After that, there’s a feast of activities throughout GaYBOR/ Ybor City.

It was that time of the year to break out your favorite RED SHOES!!! It’sThe Krewe of Alegria http://www.kreweofalegria.com/ annual fundraiser “Kickin’ For Kids.” The event was held in conjunction with a very special BINGO Night at Hamburger Mary’s. Miss Amy Demilo and Tea Cup were the co-hosts. With 50/50, give-a-ways & BINGO, the group raised $1,000 for children. A special Thank You goes to organizer Paula Luce. Viva La Krewe of Alegria!
One night, there was a very famous Star from the RuPaul show performing at Hamburger Mary’s. Back stage, the First Lady of Ybor, Miss Joey Brooks introduced her to shots of Goldschläger! After the second show, this Star went back to the dressing room, put her head down on the table, and passed out cold. She was staying at the Hampton Inn, but the problem was how to get this very large person there? IDEA…. put her on an office chair and roll her to the hotel. OMG that is what happened: They rolled her out the front door, down the elevator , up 7th AVE, & to her room. They put her to sleep in the bed. The next day she woke up 3 hours after her fight left!
