A week ago Tuesday was the monthly Fort Lauderdale Mack Mixer, held this month at Dapur.  As usual, the mixer was packed with business professionals, all networking over cocktails and some Hors d’oeuvres. Friday was the monthly Art Walk down Wilton Drive and once again it was filled with an array of artists showcasing their work. Hotspots’ own Pompano Bill showcased his Photography at Print Matters. Saturday was an exhausting day as there were a million events (ok, I am slightly exaggerating). I started out at the Sunshine Catedral for the semiannual Kind Of A Drag which is a benefit for the church and, this time, also benefited the RBC and NVEEE. This event also honors leaders of our community. A special congratulation goes out to Milancita for being honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Afterwards, it was off to Richardsons Park for the Pride Centers 2nd annual “An Evening in Paradise.” Thanks to the wonderful talent of Bobby Keyser, the event looked spectacular and, of course, was a huge fundraiser for the Pride Center. At the same time these events were happening, the LGBT visitor’s center on South Beach was hosting a Cocktail Reception in honor of Gay Lesbian International Sports Association’s 4th World Outgames 2017 site inspection. The powers that be from the Outgames were in town to inspect Miami as 1 of 2 locations being considered for the 2017 games. Later that night I was at The Manor Complex, which seems to always be packed on Saturdays, for the Doreanse Underwear Fashion Show. Sexy Models in Underwear, who can complain?…LOL! A special shout out to Jay B. whose booty is just non-stop (ok, ok, I am a butt man). Also Saturday night Discotekka was celebrating the birthday of one of its managers, Danny Vilar with special guest DJ Escape at the turntables. On Sunday, Bill’s celebrated the birthday of Trannie Palace hostess Misty Eyez and as they do every year, the crowds came out to wish her a Happy Birthday!
