What did you do before? What’s your background?
I have a degree in Business Accounting and was a Corporate Accountant for longer than I’d like to remember.
How did you get into the business?
Let’s see – Corporate Accounting vs. working with hot gay men as customers – come on, did I really have a choice? Also my business partner is a former escort and a talented programmer so the business was a natural fit for us both.
What led you to RentMen?
A series of very unique events led to the perfect storm that became RentMen – it became very apparent that there was a need for innovation in this niche – providing great visuals, service, value and up to date technology – and we’re having a great time revolutionizing this business!
Tell me a little more about RentMen and your website.
Our website is very user friendly and highly visual. We allow our escorts and clients to post unlimited pictures and videos; there are also interviews with escorts, some that are made professionally, to provide an introduction to the man that they may be looking for. We feature over 6000 original escort videos on the site to help clients and escorts get to know each other.
There is a chat system and an email system, and don’t forget the escort videos, so that everyone can get to know each other before they meet in person. Many clients are looking for the “Boyfriend experience” so these features help to add to that fantasy. These features are not limited to just the main website either, all features are available on our mobile site as well.
Rent men is gay owned and operated, which allows us to take pride in the escort community, providing health advice, and information about escorts, and how they are perceived. We are also helping to change perceptions about the industry.

How do you police the site, and make sure that escorts aren’t taking advantage of clients or vice versa?
The first thing we do is make sure our site is up to date. We remove expired profiles; the ones that haven’t renewed or are inactive.
Really, it all goes back to our customer service. If we have a call saying negative things about the escort (he wasn’t who he said he was, he took advantage of me…etc.) we contact them via phone and email, and 8 out of 10 times we remove them. We have rules; be honest and professional. These guys are running a business so they carry themselves professionally. Many of our escorts have college degrees; many are adult film stars, or models. They enjoy what they do.
We also use an independent escort review site, not affiliated with us, so people can trust it more than if we did it ourselves. It’s called Daddy’s Reviews; they provide escort and client reviews. In addition, if we find out that clients are taking advantage of our escorts, we remove them. It’s a small enough community that it’s not as difficult to police as one might think.
