MBA Orlando Awarded 2013 Excellence in Communications

The Metropolitan Business Association of Orlando is excited to announce that the chamber will be honored for Excellence in Communications in one week at the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC)’s 2013 Business & Leadership Conference in Dallas, Texas.
“We are incredibly proud that our hard work has led to this award,” said Mikael Frank Audebert, MBA Orlando President. “We needed to reassess how the chamber was communicating with its members, so we took an all-encompassing approach to increase chamber, member, and community exposure.”
NGLCC recognized MBA Orlando for effectively balancing the need to have successful events while respecting their members and subscribers. MBA Orlando has made strides in membership across multiple mediums by releasing their new website, streamlining their weekly e-newsletter, integrating a new member management system, and releasing their first Printed Directory. Through their strategic use of social media, the chamber has experienced notable growth and retention through online platforms and targeted press releases.
“NGLCC local affiliate chambers like MBA Orlando are leveraging every possible tool and tactic to support their member businesses and nurture their growth. They’re at the center of a strong, vibrant, and fully inclusive economy,” said Sam McClure, NGLCC Director of Affiliate Relations and External Affairs.
“NGLCC affiliate chambers are having a powerful impact all around the country because they are 
leveraging every possible opportunity for businesses to grow and become strong engines that drive local economies. These affiliate leaders are the backbone of the LGBT business movement, and we are so proud to work with them and recognize their achievements.”
Last year MBA Orlando received the 2012 Rising Star Award from the NGLCC. The Excellence in Communications Award is now MBA Orlando’s second award for two consecutive years from the NGLCC.
