If you’re anything like me, you probably just began…I don’t know about you, but I thrive on all those crowds so I am completely in my element. I just don’t want to catch anyone’s flu or sickness! Back to the business of this column, some bars and clubs have already started throwing their holiday parties, and I have made sure to highlight those, but be sure to look at my column next week for lots and lots of parties! Also take note of the Jingle Ball on Wednesday at the Tampa Bay Times Forum…you’ll get to see Miley Cyrus and her creepy long tongue months before she’ll be back on her Bangerz Tour! Thursday December 12

Thinking of buying stocking stuffers? Hamburger Mary’s in Orlando is selling gift cards. From now through December 31, if you buy a $50 gift card, you get a $10 gift card for free. Encourage your friends to eat, drink and be Mary!

Sawmill Resort in Dade City will be lit up for the holiday season this weekend during the annual White Party and Festival of Lights. There will be a holiday campsite decoration contest, a Tour of Homes, a holiday costume contest, a show featuring the Sawmill Divas, and more! Starts today and lasts through Sunday.

Friday December 13

The GaYBOR Coalition hosts their annual holiday party at Bradley’s on 7th in Ybor City. whcf_fri_bradleysStarting at 7 p.m., hors d’oeuvres will be served, the holiday decorating contest winners will be announced, and the crowd will be treated to a fun show!

whcf_fri_bearsBears in the City host A Very Beary Christmas 3, a fundraiser for the GLBT Community Center of Central Florida, at Parliament House in Orlando. Starting at 8 p.m., there will be live music, raffles, and a vendor fair. All proceeds will go to the Center. Toy donations accepted and will go to the MAP Foundation, who will in turn give them to needy children.

The staff of the Ultra Lounge in Cocoa celebrates you, the customer, at their annual customer appreciation party. There will be free food and other goodies at various times throughout the night! Be there around 9…that’s a good time to start the party.

Saturday December 14

Karmic Tattoo will be performing for the crowds at Georgie’s Alibi in St. Petersburg for a heartwarming cause. People are asked to bring unwrapped gifts or gift cards to Georgie’s, which will be given to Eckerd Foster Angels, newborns and children up to age 17 in foster care. The show will start at 4:30 in the afternoon and will continue past dusk in an intimate setting.

Want to win tickets to see Justin Timberlake? Pulse in Orlando, along with 102 Jamz, present “Gift in a Box” starting at 9 p.m. Dance to DJ Scott Robert’s Top 40 remixes and have your chance to win seats to his December 19 performance at the Amway Center. There will also be a show at 12:30 starring Angelica Sanchez.

whcf_sat_linneaSinger Linnea, who already racked up two Top 30 Billboard dance singles, will be performing her newest song, “I’m Bad” at The Honey Pot in Tampa. Doors open at 9 p.m.

Parliament House in Orlando hosts Nightmare Before Christmas, a no-cover event that the P-House staff calls “the biggest blacklight party of the year.” Wanzie’s Trailer Trash Christmas show will go on at 7:30 p.m. and the acclaimed Footlight Players will perform at 10 p.m. and midnight.

Sunday December 15

whcf_sund_turnaboutThe turnabout show is an end-of-the-year tradition at the Hamburger Mary’s franchises in Tampa Bay, and the Clearwater location will be having their first-ever charity show starting at 7 p.m. Proceeds raised will go to local children’s charities.
