BILLY JOEL

Billy Joel, born in The Bronx and raised in the suburb of Hicksville, New York, recorded his first album in 1971 and came to prominence with the release of the single “Piano Man” in 1973. Since then, four of his albums have reached #1 and ten songs reached the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 singles charts. Three of those songs, “It’s Still Rock and Roll to Me,” “Tell Her About It,” and “We Didn’t Start the Fire,” reached the top position on the Hot 100 and are counted among his most fondly remembered hits. He was a tabloid fixture in the 1980s, namely due to his marriage to, and subsequent divorce from, the glamorous supermodel Christie Brinkley.

His star power hasn’t waned over the years; in fact, in 2013 he announced that he would perform a residency at Madison Square Garden, one show a month, for as long as people wanted to see him. He was most recently seen performing on “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve,” broadcast live across the country on ABC-TV. Billy Joel has won six Grammy Awards throughout his career.

Billy Joel’s Sunrise tour date on January 11, the show starts at 8 p.m. and tickets range from $57 to $142.75. For his Tampa tour date on January 17, the show starts at 8 p.m. and ticket prices range from $54.25 to $139.10.
