Week three of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 6 found the two teams finally merging into a group of 12. The Mini-Challenge was a beach shoot pairing one contestant from each group so that they could not work with someone they have already interacted with. One queen is the top and the other the bottom (insert comments here) and in the end Adore and Milk were the winning team. They, in turn, become captains for the main challenge, “Scream Queens,” and it’s obvious that alliances have been made as they each pick queens from their original groups. Team Milk slays this challenge and Darienne Lake is chosen as the winner – well-deserved. In the end Adore, who did a horrible casting job, is spared and the bottom two are April Carrion and Vivacious. They both did a phenomenal lip synch, but it was time for New York legend, Vivacious, to sashay away.
At what age did female impersonation become an interest and how did you pick your name?
I started in boy drag, which was just a costume and headpiece. Girl drag became an interest 
around the age of 19. The queens that were mentoring me told me eventually I would have to pick a name. My second grade teacher called me Vivacious and I picked that as my name as it best represents who I am.
How many times did you apply to be on RPDR and how did it feel when you found out you got chosen?
Actually, this was my first time applying. Months later I got the call that changed my life and for this I am highly grateful. Who knew I would get picked right away?
Tell me about your RuPaul’s Drag Race experience.
My experience felt like somebody shoved me in a Deee-Lite video. It felt like going to the pearly gates of heaven.
How are you going to leverage your short time on Drag Race?
I have always been the queen that if you give me five inches of anything (well, not anything), I take 11. I will stretch this exposure into a full universe. I have plenty of ideas and I promise I will be standing tall at the end of the day! The fiercest thing this show has done for me is it has put Vivacious back into the rotation for 21 more years.
Who do you want to win?
If I judge it based on fierceness and talent my favorites are Laganja Estranja and Bianca Del Rio. Laganja because she is the death drop mother of them all and Bianca because she has a mouth that can stop all the planets at once.
Tell me about the man behind Vivacious?
He is cool, calm, quiet, and reserved but also very methodical. He has a plethora of energy. It’s like Jim Henson’s arm in Kermit the Frog. Once they come together it’s a force to be reckoned with.
Tell me something people would be surprised to know about you.
I studied Japanese martial arts (Shotokan) for more than 13 years. Also, I am a DJ, and I do it quite well. I also write bitch tracks.
What’s ahead for Vivacious?
Coming up shortly, in a few days, I have a mini 4-track coming out on iTunes and it’s called Pride. The second track is called “Fierce And Gorgeous (FAG),” taking a negative word and changing it into a positive. I will also be releasing a new track every six weeks, so stay tuned.
