Miami International Auto Show

Miami Beach Convention Center

November 7-16

Auto ShowTens of thousands of people are anxiously awaiting the 44th annual edition of the Miami International Auto Show. Over 40 different manufacturers from all over the world will bring their latest models to the Miami Beach Convention Center (1901 Convention Center Dr., Miami Beach) so the public can take a look at what’s going to be on sale next year. The Miami International Auto Show opens its doors on Friday, November 7, and lasts ten days, wrapping up on Sunday, November 16.

One of the most popular attractions during the Miami International Auto Show are the Ride & Drive Events. Many automobile manufacturers offer Ride & Drive events across both weekends of the Auto Show to show consumers exactly how a car will feel when you’re behind the wheel. The Ride & Drive path is along Convention Center Drive adjacent to the Miami Beach Convention Center. Drivers must be either 18 or 21 years of age depending on the car. Buick, Cadillac, Chevy and GMC will be hosting events in which consumers can drive their newest models on both weekends of the event.

In addition to the Ride & Drive area, spectators can also experience a bumpy ride in the newest Jeep vehicle along a specially-built obstacle course, in Camp Jeep. If your taste in cars is extravagant, there is an entire wing of new models for you to look at in Million Dollar Alley. If you’d like to see cars from the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s, lovingly restored and in mint condition, visit Memory Lane, which offers up one of South Florida’s largest antique automobile selection. The attraction “Topless in Miami” is back for a second year, showing off the hottest sports cars and yachts. Finally, we are taken back in time with two exhibits: Havana Classics, showcasing the cars driven in Cuba in the 1950s pre-Castro era, and a sampling of the unique Dezer Collection from the Miami Auto Museum (whose full collection is located at 2000 NE 146th St. N., Miami).

There will also be live entertainment, with a chance for fans to participate in a meet and greet afterwards. The singers performing the first weekend are Karina Iglesias, Frankie Negron, Robbie Elias, and Sol Ruiz. The second weekend features EliaCiM, Braily, Ryan Beatty, Kat Dahlia and Lucy Grau.

The auto show’s hours are 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. on November 7; 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on November 8-9; 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. on November 10; 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on November 11; 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. on November 12-14; 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on November 15 and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on November 16.
