“The Winner’s Circle” Rings in the New Year

Winter is a pretty exciting time of year if you’re a RuPaul’s Drag Race fan. The Logo reality competition just announced the cast for the upcoming seventh season and two queens have ties to Florida: Kennedy Davenport and Ginger Minj. Before we get to watch the new season, though, Parliament House (410 N. Orange Blossom Trail, Orlando) will be bringing back the 
winners from all six seasons for one special night of performances. These queens will be featured in the show called “The Winner’s Circle” on Wednesday, December 31.
Performing this evening alongside the Footlight Players (consisting of Darcel Stevens, Jazell Barbie Royale, Shantell D’Marco, and the Footlight Player Men) will be BeBe Zahara Benet, winner of season one; Tyra Sanchez, a Central Florida native and winner of season two; Raja, winner of season three; Sharon Needles, winner of season four; Jinkx Monsoon, winner of season five; and Bianca Del Rio, winner of season six. All of these queens have been seen at Parliament House at one time or another this past year but this is the first time that the resort has booked all six of them to perform on the same night.
You can buy your tickets to this special event either online or at the door. Tickets bought online are priced at $20 each and include general admission to the shows at 10 p.m. and midnight. There is a $2.09 handling fee for purchasing tickets online. Tickets bought at the door are priced at $25 per person. There will also be a New Year’s Eve dinner served in The Rainbow Café for people who will be arriving early. There willbe a choice of lobster bisque, Caesar salad or tossed salad; a sorbet intermezzo; a choice of entree between prime rib au jus, marinated full breast of chicken, and grilled fish; accompanied by garlic mashed potatoes, roasted jumbo asparagus, a dinner roll, a piece of chocolate cake; and a complimentary glass of wine or champagne. This dinner is priced at $22.95 plus tax per person and there are two seatings, one at 6:30 p.m. and one at 8 p.m. To reserve your table, call (407) 425-7571.
