Los organizadores del Florida AIDS Walk y Festival de Música continúan la tendencia reciente de traer de nuevo los años 80 al sur de la Florida y han anunciado que las raperas famosísimas Salt-N-Pepa encabezarán su evento de 2015.
Salt-N-Pepa presiden sobre un reinado increíble de tres décadas como las reinas del genero rapero, es seguro que hay otras raperas famosas, pero no hay nadie como Salt y Pepa. Las creadores queridas de éxitos del hip hop internacional ayudaron a cimentar la base del sonido hip hop a medios de los años 80. Dirigida por Cheryl James (Salt), Sandra Denton (Pepa) y Deidra Roper (DJ Spinderella), el grupo hizo historia en los ´80 con su mega hit Push It, y repitieron en los ´90 con What a Man, (¿A quién puede olvidar los abdominales del 
protagonista del video de What a Man?)Ganaron varios premios Grammy y otros premios por su talento pero son famosas también por su hit ¨Let´s Talk about Sex, ¨ una canción que comenzó un dialogo muy importante sobre el sexo que debemos seguir hoy en día.
Este año, The Florida AIDS Walk y Festival de Música se llevará a cabo el domingo 22 de marzo, en South Beach Park, en Fort Lauderdale Beach (justo al norte de la Sheraton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort). Al igual que el evento de 2014, el Festival de Florida AIDS Walk y música es una caminata de 5 km a lo largo de la playa, seguida por comida, bebidas y bailando en la arena.
El dinero recaudado por la Florida AIDS Walk apoya los servicios proporcionados por la AIDS Healthcare Foundation y otras organizaciones beneficiarias que se eligen cada año. 100% de cada dólar recaudado queda en Florida, para proporcionar servicios directos a sus residentes que se ven afectados por el VIH / SIDA.

The organizers of the Florida AIDS Walk and Music Festival continue the recent trend of bringing the 80’s back to south Florida and have announced that the rap group Salt-N-Pepa will headline their 2015 event.
Salt-N-Pepa preside over an amazing three-decade reign as the queens of Hip Hop. It´s ture there are other female rappers but there is no one like Salt-N-Pepa. The internationally loved hit makers helped cement the foundation of mid 80’s hip hop sound. Led by Cheryl James (Salt), Sandra Denton (Pepa) and Deidra Roper (DJ Spinderella) the group made history in the mid 80´s with their mega hit ¨Push it¨ and they repeated their success with the 90´s hit, What a Man, and who could forget the abs of the guy in that video?) They won several Grammy awards as well as MTV music and other awards, but they are also famous for their song ¨Let´s talk about sex¨ which started a dialogue that we need to continue having today.
This year, The Florida AIDS Walk and Music Festival will take place on Sunday, March 22nd, at South Beach Park on Fort Lauderdale Beach (just north of the Sheraton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort). Like the 2014 event, the Florida AIDS Walk and Music Festival is a 5K walk along the beach, followed by food, drinks, and dancing.
The money raised by Florida AIDS Walk supports the services provided by AIDS Healthcare Foundation and several other beneficiary organizations that are chosen each year. 100% of every dollar raised remains in Florida, to provide direct services to its residents who are affected by HIV/AIDS.
AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) is the largest global AIDS organization, and has been 
providing HIV testing, condom access, treatment and care for those living with HIV/AIDS, and political advocacy for over 25 years. The Foundation’s services reach more than 250,000 clients of all ages around the globe, and more than 1 million people were tested for HIV by the Foundation’s global branches in 2013, with those who tested positive having immediate access to counseling, care, and treatment.
When asked about the event, Mark Martin of AIDS Healthcare Foundation said: “This year we will have DJ’s, food trucks, bars, and a dance floor. It’s not your run of the mill fundraising walk; it’s going to be a real party out on the beach. As important as it is that we raise awareness that the HIV crisis is still in full effect, we want to celebrate the heroes in the battle against AIDS, those who give of their time and money to help those who are living with HIV and we just want to celebrate life.”
