I attended three cool events recently! First, I met dreamboats Eric Martsolf and Greg Vaughan from Days of our Lives at Feather Sound Country Club in Clearwater. They were so hot! It was like a dream. Then the same night I took photos at the Equality Florida Tampa Gala at TPepin’s. Over 600 people attended and $350,000 was raised. It was their best Tampa Gala ever! Finally, I attended a party at Cristino’s in Ybor City which honored Kurt King and Jane Castor as Tampa Pride’s grand marshals. If you see me around, say “cheese” for Hotspots! Lots of love!
Thursday March 5
If you’re an ’80s fan like I am, you’ll love ’80s night at BarCodes in Orlando. This theme night starts at 8 p.m. and Ryan will be your host and bartender. This night features lots of ’80s videos, commercials, and quite a few sexy men! So if you want to go back to a very different time, when Jane Wyman ruled the roost on Falcon Crest and her ex-husband was in the White House, Thursday is definitely the night to enjoy a throwback!
City Side in Tampa needs help decorating their float for Tampa Pride, which will be coming up on March 28! Miss Manny wants to go all-out with this year’s float, so she needs some strong, strapping men to help her decorate it! If you’re interested, feel free to e-mail email@example.com or call directly at (813) 350-0600.
Friday March 6
I’ve told you about a few theme nights presented by the queens at Divas Dinner Theatre in Orlando, but I haven’t told you about the wickedly delicious and glamorous production that is presented each Friday! The show is called Tragic Kingdom and it’s hosted by Roxy Brooks. Showtime is at 8 p.m. Doors open for dinner at 5 p.m. To make a reservation, call (407) 480-2200.
Enigma in St. Petersburg presented the first installment of Daphne Ferraro’s new show last week, and this week she has even more surprises. Performing with her this week will be Sasha Santiago and Jaeda Fuentes…and perhaps a mystery guest? The only way to find out would be to attend! Shows are at 9:30 p.m. and 11 p.m.
Saturday March 7
Bradley’s on 7th in Tampa is celebrating their fourth anniversary with a special party! Arrive at 9 p.m. because there is a special surprise for all guests who arrive early, and I think you’ll like it. There will be dancers and a drag show hosted by the First Lady of Ybor City herself, Joey Brooks! She will be welcoming former Miss Florida F.I. Tiffany Arieagus to the stage. Showtimes are at 11:30 p.m. and 1:15 a.m. Remember, there’s never a cover at Bradley’s!
Orlando’s biggest Mardi Gras party comes to Parliament House tonight! Their annual Mardi Gras celebrations feature their signature “parade spectacular,” which will start at 8 p.m.! The acclaimed Footlight Players, led by Darcel Stevens, will be performing two Mardi Gras-themed shows, at 10 p.m. and midnight. DJ Brianna will be spinning until 3 a.m.
The Body Shop up in north Tampa is hosting their monthly “Bear Soup” social! Now this is an event I’ve attended off and on for years and I always have the best time. The atmosphere is fun and flirty and all the bears are very nice. There’s also karaoke which will start at 10 p.m. If you haven’t been to The Body Shop lately, check them out now!
This past autumn I told you about David “Scarbie” Mitchell‘s one-man show “Lip-Schtick,” which was presented in the Blu Room at the Flamingo Resort in St. Petersburg. You wanted it back, and it’s back for a two-week limited run! Shows start tonight at 8 p.m. and tomorrow at 4 p.m. Tickets are $25. Call to purchase them at (727) 321-5000.
