Performances in Orlando and Miami

March 26 and 28

Boca Raton native Ariana Grande’s transformation from teen queen into pop goddess was completed last year, as the star wrapped up her commitments with the Nickelodeon network and pursued pop music full-time. Her album My Everything went to #1 on the charts and landed her a Grammy Award nomination. Now, she is on her first headlining nationwide tour, The ArianaGrande_copy1Honeymoon Tour, and she will be making two stops in Florida. The first will be on Thursday, March 26 at 7:30 p.m. at the Amway Center in Orlando, and the second will be at AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami on Saturday, March 28 at 7:30 p.m. Rixton and Cashmere Cat will open for Ariana Grande for both Florida appearances.

Ariana Grande first became well-known to nationwide audiences in 2010 when she was cast as Cat Valentine on the Nickelodeon sitcom Victorious. The series ran for 60 episodes and spawned a spin-off, Sam & Cat, in which Grande also starred. She released her first solo music album, Yours Truly, in 2013. It sold over 500,000 copies and earned her a top ten pop single, “The Way,” with Mac Miller. In 2014 she released her sophomore album, My Everything. The lead single, “Problem,” featuring Iggy Azalea, went quintuple-platinum in the U.S. Three more top ten singles followed: “Break Free” (featuring Zedd), “Bang Bang” (with Jessie J and Nicki Minaj), and ArianaGrande_copy2“Love Me Harder” (featuring The Weeknd). In between recording and acting, Grande is also an LGBT activist and ally, and has a very close relationship with her gay older brother, former Big Brother contestant Frankie Grande.
