Julian Cavazos presents the first annual Bunnies on the Drive benefit, which will be a garden party held at Richardson Historic Park and Nature Preserve (1937 Wilton Dr., Wilton Manors). This party will benefit SunServe and Share-a-Pet and will be held on Saturday, April 4 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

There will be many fun games and contests at this event, such as the prettiest bonnet contest (be sure to bring your bonnet and wear it for a chance to win a prize!), the gym bunny contest, and the bunny toss (play to win prizes!). There will also be a silent auction consisting of Easter baskets filled with goodies; just bid on your favorites and if your bid is the highest, you’ll walk away with the goods, and the money is donated to two great causes. There will also be live entertainment, specialty vendors, and some of the best-tasting food and drink Wilton Manors has to offer.

This party benefits two specific organizations, SunServe and Share-a-Pet. SunServe works with the LGBT community in South Florida, with an emphasis on education and care for LGBT youth, minorities, seniors, people with HIV/AIDS, people with financial difficulties and people with life-challenging physical and emotional conditions. Share-a-Pet Assisted Therapy is an organization that brings trained volunteers and their therapy dogs to interact with youth and seniors in places such as hospitals, nursing homes, schools and daycare centers.

Organizers request that you dress in your colorful Easter best for this party. The suggested donation for entry into the party is $10 for adults. The Village Pub is a presenting sponsor for the first annual Bunnies on the Drive.
