Episode 12 finds us with the Top 4 competing for a spot in the Final 3. The challenge consists of starring with RuPaul in the official video for her song “Born Naked.” However, Michelle warns them that the girl eliminated will be edited out of the video. The choreographer was the beautiful Candis Cayne and the acting coach was Mathu Andersen. In the end all four had to lip synch for their lives and in the end it was Kennedy who sashayed away. That leaves Ginger Minj (yay, a Florida girl), Pearl and Violet Chachki in the Final 3. Who do you think is going to win? My prediction is our Florida girl: Ginger Minj.

At what age did drag become an interest and how did you pick your name?

I was 16 when it became an interest. I didn’t pick my name, it was given to me by my drag mother Kelexis Davenport.

How many times did you apply to be on RPDR and how did it feel when you found out you were chosen?

I only applied for this season and when I found out, I burst into tears. KennedyDavenport

Is there an additional pressure now that RuPaul has been on for six seasons?

There definitely is, as it gets harder and harder every year. Even the audition process is longer.

Tell me about your RuPaul’s Drag Race experience.
It was a great experience but very challenging, and I had to pull from things I learned in high school in order to stay in the race. It challenged me a lot. I had my weak moments, but I am so happy I made it as far as I did.

Is it frustrating to get so close to the top 3?

It’s not really frustration, but rather heartache. It felt like losing my dad all over again, because I put everything into it.

Who do you want to win?

It’s so hard to pick just one as each one deserves to win for a different reason. But from a more professional standpoint the girl I that I know would represent RuPaul’s brand the best is Ginger.

Tell me something people would be surprised to know about you.

I don’t think the world knows that I was in the Navy for 2 ½ years.

Tell me about the man behind Kennedy.

I really didn’t know who Ruben was for a minute because all I knew was Kennedy, but since Drag Race I have realized that Ruben has to have some kind of identity and come out of my shell. I am really soft-spoken as a boy.

What’s ahead for Kennedy?

I hope the future holds a lot. I am very optimistic. I would like to get back into singing. I just love working and I am looking forward to traveling the world and entertaining.
