New Retailers and Food Court

The Galleria at Fort Lauderdale has announced major improvements to refine its shopping experience with the future addition of Free People and recent opening of REM French Riviera, plus the transformation of its food court and relocations and renovations of several existing retailers. These new developments will maintain The Galleria at Fort Lauderdale’s status as the Galleria_copy2largest and most upscale regional mall in Broward County.

Free People will complement the retail mix at The Galleria when it opens next to Michael Kors at the end of this month. The future vibrant and cozy lounge-like store signifies Free People’s first presence in the Broward-Palm Beach market.  Free People, a nationally recognized specialty women’s clothing brand that offers a wide range of boho chic goods from apparel and accessories to intimates, outerwear, home décor and beauty products, will be a destination for on-trend, creative and confident individuals.

REM French Riviera, a first-in-market store offering women’s jewelry, semi-precious stones, pearls, sterling silver, vermeil, crystals, rhinestones and perfumes from France, recently opened Galleria_copy1next to Neiman Marcus. Both of these new retailers will follow in the success of other newer stores at The Galleria at Fort Lauderdale, including YellowKorner and Brighton, plus other favorites such as Apple, Coach, Cole Haan, Dillard’s, J. Crew, Macy’s and Sephora.

A completely transformed food court, renamed Palm Court Market, will reopen on November 1 with a roster of eclectic casual eateries. Shoppers will satisfy their appetites in a more comfortable and contemporary environment.  Additional dining choices will still be accessible with The Galleria’s full-service restaurant collection including The Capital Grille, Seasons 52, Truluck’s, P.F. Chang’s, Blue Martini and The Mermaid Bar at Neiman Marcus.

The Galleria at Fort Lauderdale will also be renewed with several existing store relocations and renovations:

  • Mayors will relocate near White House/Black Market
  • Bath & Body Works will relocate across from Nine West on the upper level near Dillard’s
  • Victoria’s Secret will relocate and expand into the former Abercrombie & Fitch space
  • Abercrombie & Fitch has relocated near Brookstone
  • BCBGeneration has relocated near Macy’s
  • BCBGMAXAZRIA has relocated near Gap
  • Express will relocate to the space originally occupied by Charlotte Russe
  • Charlotte Russe has relocated near Macy’s
  • Finish Line’s remodel is underway at its location near Macy’s

All work will be completed with minimal interference for Galleria guests.
