Another summer has passed and with it, the scorching temps.  But one place that shows no signs of cooling down are gay dance floors.  DJs are working overtime to keep the dark confines and pulsing rhythms of their rooms hot and sweaty. Here are the top tracks heating up clubs this month.

BeatBox-Fall_I-like-it“I Like It”
Cherie Lily

Clubland’s sweetest missy returns with one heck of a manically pumped-up song. Written by Lily and produced by legendary ballroom DJ Vjuan Allure, the explosive track features a hypnotic descending bass line with a snare-lead, snappy, syncopated beat.   The song takes the energy and playfulness of Cherie Lily’s previous hits, “Body” and “Kiss My Lips”, and turns it up a notch.

Crystal Waters

Crystal Waters brings down the house with one of the best songs she’s ever written. Expertly produced by Sted-E and Hybrid Heights, “Synergy” is classic Crystal – on par with “Gypsy Woman” and “100% Pure Love”. To top it off, she enlists some her DJ friends – prolific house music producer Robbie Riviera and Grammy nominated DJ/Producer StoneBridge – for some slamming remixes.  DJ Bojan (formerly of WaWa) adds a spectacular nu-house mix to the package.

BeatBox-Fall_Manila“Ice Cream”
Manila Luzon featuring Andre Xcellence

The fan favorite of Drag Race teams up with rapper Andre Xcellence on the season’s most delicious single.  Produced by The Prodigal, “Ice Cream” is a high-energy, sex-driven, urban pop banger that turns a favorite children’s rhyme on its sticky ear.  It’s reminiscent of Rihanna’s “Birthday Cake”, with slick beats, glossy vocals and plenty of playful double entendres and hilarious sexual innuendos.

BeatBox-Fall_WIL“What Are We Waiting For”
Wil

The pop crooner makes a triumphant move to the dance floor with his first EDM track produced by American Idol‘s Randy Jackson.  Written by Wil, along with Steve Dresser and Jeff Blue, the empowering track is Sia meets Enrique Iglesias meets Adele, all set against a kinetic David Guetta beat.  Jose Nunez provides some stellar remixes.

BeatBox-Fall_Amanda“I…Amanda Lepore: Make Over Sessions”
Amanda Lepore

Fans have waited a long time for Amanda’s first remix album.  Happily, the wait was worth it! Some tracks, like “Doin’ It My Way”, have been completely overhauled.  A few, like “My P-ssy” and “Turn Me Over”, have fresh extensions and are more DJ friendly. Others, like B Ames’ legendary vogue ball mix of “My Hair Looks Fierce”, were previously available only as bootleg.  The album is fun, flirty, funky, a little house-y and very sexy.  There’s also a delightful reworking of Marilyn Monroe’s “I Wanna Be Loved By You”, a song that has become a staple of Amanda’s live shows.
