Ever since it opened a little over two and a half years ago, Mojoman Swimwear has offered what most other stores in Central Florida don’t: a one-stop shop for gay men that consists of hundreds of different styles of underwear and swimwear, including some of the hottest styles from Andrew Christian, Nasty Pig, PUMP!, BCNU, Swag & Valo
r, and many other well-known name brands. There’s something for everyone at Mojoman: sizes range from small to 6XL on most swimwear and underwear styles in the store.
The original store on Maguire Boulevard is geared almost completely toward the fashion-conscious gay man. A second store opened on October 15 at the new Artegon Marketplace shopping center, and offers even more selection for men, as well as some items for women. Now Orlando has two stores that serve the clothing needs of men who want to make a positive statement while at the beach, at the pool, on a cruise, or simply sunning at home.
I spoke with Mojoman Swimwear owner and operator Lane Blackwell about the various swimwear styles that are sure to be top sellers for the holidays, plus Mojoman’s commitment to the community, in this exclusive Hotspots interview.
Please tell me what styles of underwear and swimwear are popular right now and what is going to be available for the holiday season.
Andrew Christian is always very popular. We’re also bringing in vendors such as Suprawear, Private Structure, and Swag & Valor. We will start putting out our 2016 selections of swimwear as soon as we receive the first shipments the first week of December. Between December and 
May, there will be 160 new styles of swimwear in the store, so keep an eye out! We’ll keep you prepared for the winter cruises.

We will be supplying the swimwear and underwear for the “Lovin’ the Runway” charity fashion show at Southern Nights on Friday, November 27. The proceeds that are being raised go to B.A.S.E. Camp, the children’s cancer foundation. It means a lot to me because my mother had cancer, and with little children, they still have their entire lives to live, and I support their mission to help these children and also to help their parents who must be so worried about their child’s well-being as well as rising medical costs.
