Thursday, February 6

The Gay8 festival presents the 4ward Gala 2020 Pa’Lante Awards from 6:30-9:30pm at the Bacardi Headquarters (2701 Lejeune Road, Coral Springs). The Emcee will be Jamie Guirola and the honorees will be: Jason Jenkins, Nadege Green and Lynn Bove (Posthumously).  Music will be by Velleese and DJ Carluba. Verve Central Productions and Broward Center for the Performing Arts presents Silver Palm Award Winner for best interactive theatrical experience: Diego & Drew Say I Do. Miami Beach Botanical Gardens presents the 15th Annual Taste of the Garden from 6:30-9:30pm. Savor, Sip and Support the Garden! This heralded gastronomic experience offers you the opportunity to indulge in a sampling of dishes from some Miami’s best chefs and restaurants. Stroll through Miami Beach’s tropical oasis sipping cocktails, wines and brews. Bid on silent auction items & round out the evening with live music and DJ, all staged under the big tent. Friday, February 7

The South Florida Symphony Orchestra led by musical director Sebrina Maria Alfonso presents “Beethoven” in celebration of Beethoven’s 250th anniversary at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. The event will feature Beethoven: Symphony No 9 featuring renowned soloists, a full choir, and the famous “Ode to Joy” finale, and Schumann: Piano Concerto in A minor featuring Svetlana Smolina, Piano.  This celebration will move to Key West in the Glynn R. The City of Oakland Park presents “Soul Fest” from 6-10pm at Jaco Pastorious Park (4000 N Dixie Hwy). This FREE event will feature music, dancing, kids activities, food and drink, and live music by the old skool gang (60’s through 90’s top hits of Motown and soul). 

Voices Of Pride presents “Red & Wild: Drag Bingo” at St Andrews Episcopal Church (100 No. Palmway, Lake Worth) at 7pm. Bring your valentine for a smokin’ hot time. All tickets are $25 at Voicesofpride.org

The Palace presents their 32nd anniversary at 6pm hosted by Missy Meyakie LePaige, and TP Lords with performances by Tlo Ivy, Fantasia Royale, Elishaly D Witshes, and Shania Bright. As always, no cover!

Saturday, February 8th

The Gay Men’s Chorus of South Florida and the Florida Panthers have teamed up again to provide the community with discounted opportunities to enjoy the Florida Panthers PRIDE NIGHT game against the Pittsburgh Penguins! The Gay Men’s Chorus of South Florida will sing 

the National Anthem just before puck drop, and a portion of ticket proceeds go to GMCSF!

The Manor Complex presents extra special guest DJ Paulo in Tribal Bitch in the Ballroom. In the Ivy Dance Room and Windsor Lounge, Noche Latina Saturdays presents “Jungle” hosted by Sasha Lords, with extra special guest, the one and only Tasha Long. The night will also star DJ Larry Larr, and Sexy Latin Go-Go Papi’s. As always, doors open at 11pm and there will be no cover for Florida Residents 21 and over before midnight. After midnight its $7 for members and $10 for nonmembers. (18-20 – $12 all night). 

Sunday, February 9

SAGE of South Florida presents “From the Broadway Stage to the Silver Screen”: at 2pm in the Main Hall at the Pride Center, 2040 N. Dixie Highway, Wilton Manors. Featuring Michael Vita, with Roger Rundle at the piano and videos by Gene Majka. Many of the Broadway Musicals that Michael appeared in were either based on movies from the Silver Screen or became movies on the Silver Screen. Among them being; Gower Champion’s “Bye, Bye Birdie” and “42nd Street” – Bob Fosse’s “Sweet Charity” and “Chicago” – Michael Bennett’s “Promises, Promises” and “Ballroom” and George Abbott’s “On Your Toes.” Michael will give some insight as to how they became Broadway productions along with a little bit of backstage stories. Sponsored In-Part by the Classic Gateway Theatre. Free & Open to the Public – Light Refreshments Served.

Wednesday February 12
