Dr. Neel Amin Expands Practice

Opens Many Locations in South Florida

Every few years we do a feature on our regular advertisers to update the community on what is happening in their businesses. Generally when I ask the question, ‘What’s New,” there is not a lot of exciting things to report. However, this time when I sat down with my friend, Dr Neel Amin, I found out that there were many new things happening in his life. These new things not only cover some incredible new advances in the treatment of pain, but also Dr Neel’s new business venture. Keep reading for more info.

I hear now you are opening a new Practice?

Yes it is located in Aventura on the campus of the Aventura Hospital.

So what’s the new company’s name?

I am calling it “Pain Relief Solutions” and will include the new location in Aventura, and where we are currently located at 1164 Oakland Park Blvd.

As a doctor, what is your goal in your practice?

To let my patients know that there is a solution to their pain. Everything we (my team and I) do is to keep Opiates off the streets. We have so much technology to offer, so we treat the pain and not mask it.

You offer so many ways to treat and get rid of pain. Can you tell me some of them?

Sure, some of the ways are:

Spinal Cord Stimulation – This can help manage chronic pain — even when other therapies have failed. SCS therapy has helped hundreds of thousands of people and is: Proven safe and effective; FDA-approved for adults with chronic pain of the trunk and/or lower limbs; offers proven pain management; and is covered by most insurance plans, including Medicare and most workers’ compensation programs

Mesenchymal Stem Cells – Over time, healthy tissue in our bodies can become dysfunctional due to age and/or injury. In regenerative medicine, new stem cells are injected into your degenerative tissue to enervate and reactivate your body’s dysfunctional cells. Immediately the process begins to produce more healing stem cells in your joints and tissues and have the capacity to reproduce bone, tissue, and muscle in perpetuity. You may feel the effects of reduced inflammation immediately. However, generally the process of regeneration is a 6-10 month investment in your health. The specific kinds of stem cells we use are top of the line mesenchymal stem cells. They are taken from two vital places of a human umbilical cord: from the Wharton’s jelly layer of the umbilical cord as well as placental tissue.

Platelet rich plasma therapy – In combination with stem-cell therapy, PRP can be another catalyst to help your body recover and begin making its own healing cells more quickly and expediently. Platelet rich plasma injection can lead to significant pain reduction and healing and is nearly painless.  Plasma rich platelet therapy, in conjunction with stem cell therapy, is part of a rising practice called regenerative therapies. Platelet rich plasma treatment not only relieves pain, it can lead to complete healing.

Platelet rich plasma injections are a concentration of platelet-rich protein that’s derived from your own blood. Plasma is the liquid part of your blood. And your platelets make it possible for your blood to clot. Your platelets contain hundreds of proteins called growth factors. Your growth factors promote healing. They have been proven to be a safe and effective method of treating damaged joints and soft tissue—naturally. Platelet rich plasma injections are increasingly being used as a non-surgical alternative for orthopedic conditions, injuries, and chronic pain management, including: Osteoarthritis, Chronic lower back pain, Injuries to ligaments and muscles, Acute, chronic tendon issues, Spinal stenosis, Tennis elbow, Medical collateral ligament (MCL) tears, Chronic, acute neck pain, Rotator cuff tears, and Plantar fasciitis. These conditions typically are treated with medications, physical therapy, or surgery. Many top athletes have credited platelet rich plasma injections for their faster healing times, following injuries that could have previously cost them the season or their careers.

What is the success rate of these treatments?

I am very excited to say the success rate is 85/90%

What if you feel you can’t help someone?

If we feel like someone needs surgery, we will tell them immediately and we have developed relationships with great surgeons.

Do you take insurance?

Yes, we take all Insurance including Medicare, Aetna, Blue Cross, and AM Better, just to name a few. Unfortunately, insurance doesn’t cover the ways we use to permanently fix the problem.

However, we have free consultations and we have companies that will work with patients on payment plans.

I look forward to sitting down with Dr. Neel in a few months to see how things are progressing. For more information on Dr Neel Amin or Pain Relief Solutions, go to:  Drneelaminmd.com
