One of South Florida’s most alluring features are its gorgeous beaches. There are many to choose from, but for the LGBT community, these are the most popular beaches.

Sebastian Street Beach in Fort Lauderdale

Located at Sebastian Street and A1A, this beach is near several gay guesthouses, many high-end hotels and fabulous restaurant Casablancas Cafe. Locals gather here and if you’re here on vacation, it is a great place to spend your day before you hit the Wilton Manors’ nightlife.

12th Street beach in South Beach

With glorious rainbow flags decorating the area you can’t miss this LGBTQ favorite at 12th Street and Ocean Drive. In between taking a dip and relaxing on the sand, you can recharge nearby at Palace Bar, Twist or Nathan’s, which are all just a short walk away.

Haulover Park Beach in Sunny Isles

Nestled between Fort Lauderdale and Miami at 10800 Collins Ave., Haulover is a great place to bare it all in South Florida. This extremely popular nude beach is great for those who don’t like those frightful tan lines (or clothing for that matter) – and has been ranked by CNN as one of the world’s 15 top nude beaches.

Stonewall Beach in Pompano Beach

The name says it all. Just south of the pier at 222 Pompano Beach Boulevard, this beach was named Stonewall Beach on June 28, 2020. This new place for the LGBTQ community to gather and catch rays is close to several restaurants.

Higgs Beach in Key West

Higgs Beach, located on Atlantic Boulevard, is the most popular gay beach in Key West, although some prefer the larger Smathers Beach, which is located along South Roosevelt Boulevard. These are not far from the ever-vibrant Duval Street with its famous rainbow.
